I have damaged the buckle on my rear passenger seatbelt. The replacement belt and buckle comes with an inertia reel which builds into the back of the seat. I can’t see any way to install this into the seat without damaging the upholstery? Can anyone help?

Do we know if VW technical are aware of the problem and are looking to fix the problem?

When reversing My ID3 sometimes breaks suddenly and goes into park which makes parking impossible.
The dealer thinks it is because i haven’t got the seatbelt on. In the UK we don’t need seatbelts when reversing so this should not happen.
Does anyone have any comments?
Is there a way to override ?
