Better off with the usual snow foam, rinse, clay glove (or bar, if worse), wash, seal with wax etc
I wouldn't want to use Iron X near the bodywork, personally. They say it's safe on bodywork, but I doubt they'd accept any liability if it did any harm, either

Re: Dwindling battery!
Thank u very much for explaining that it is normal for my car’s battery to go less far in the winter. I didn’t know that! Fossil-fuel cars are the same in winter, too - people just have never really given it the same attention, really. While I am here please advise re not charging to 100%. Do u all...

Re: Volkswagen sent unfinished electric car on the street and saved billions in climate fines from the EU
I could name hundreds of models from various makes that had fixes, recalls, or component redesigns after their first year of production due to being, basically, useless or severely impaired. And here's one from today for models which are over a year old: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-598188...

Re: Volkswagen sent unfinished electric car on the street and saved billions in climate fines from the EU
"Unfinished" is hyperbolic at best, and clickbait at worst. It's hardly like there were doors missing or components unfitted. The 'unfinished' phrase should be interpreted as 'unrefined', but that's been the case for basically every car ever built. The first ones are never truly refined be...

Re: Delivery time
Update on my Family PP... Build week originally 40 after an placed end of July. Received little to no info even when I requested it from the dealer but was told last week it's now at port. Anyone know if there is a way of tracking the freight shipping? Have a feeling dealer won't let me know where ...

Re: Idiot questions
Interesting read. Not got my id.3 but I'm reading here that if you put it in Park and get out then it switches itself off. I blow my tyres up with a pump that plugs into the cigarette lighter (or whatever it is called these days). Is there still a such a place to plug in such a tyre pump and if so ...

Re: Delivery time
All the dealers are as good or bad as each other in my opinion, when I ordered in September one dealer told me that they have been told to say June 22 for deliveries but I rung around and got a jan one but might at this rate end up been June, also at the time I was told BMW’s in America are been so...

Re: Delivery time
Power train and body assembly are different but they come together at some point and the body must have the VIN stamped on it. Once that is going down the line it’s a continuous production line. I really don’t think it’s possible to skip things like screens. The dash is one piece. There are videos ...

Re: Delivery time
If anyone fancies a Tour Pro there might be one available sooner rather than later as we've just cancelled our order after reaching the end of our tether with VW and in particular the dealers in Basingstoke. Here's the last email from them when I asked them to confirm where the car is in the build ...

Re: Delivery time
I just can't believe the utter lack of any form of communication from VW or its dealership network, considering that they anticipate the shortages lasting well into 2022 and possibly 2023. You'd have thought by now they would have figured out a way to actually talk to their customers, instead they ...

Re: King Red - Bi Colour Wheel Trim
Still amazes me the VW sell a car with plastic wheel trims. Kind of amazes me how bothered people are by it, to be honest. Lots of advantages for steelies with wheel trims, whilst the only benefit of alloys is the aesthetic. Suppose they maybe make sense on the base version…. on a £39500 car, I don...

Just the angle of your photo, but I had a panic for you then - it looked like you'd taken a photo saying it had accidentally fallen off the transporter at first!

This doesn't sound like great news for cars arriving via Sheerness: https://www.kentonline.co.uk/sheerness/news/amp/dock-strike-threatens-imports-of-audi-vw-and-skoda-cars-259223/ Might explain a previous post saying that ID.3’s are all going through Grimsby, though? Re: Delivery time
Also, this was a poor job on hiding the number plate, just FYI... I'd also have thought it'd gone through PDI if it has plates, as the dealer puts them on (and the last thing they'd do is get a salesman to make/fit them!*) *or, in reality, the last thing a salesman would offer to do! I spotte...
