Re: Service Reminder on id3 one year after inspection service
The service counter is a bit unreliable, it can be messed up by software updates as well as by the dealer. Mine went completely wrong and started warning me about an inspection 9 months early. I managed to persuade the dealer to reset it when the car was in for MOT, although it took quite a bit of ...

Re: Another ID.3 Newbie, ex Peugeot e-208
I have managed over 5 on a few low/middling speed journeys now. I agree that Tronity is inaccurate though, especially for shorter trips, and no one is ever getting 7+ out of an ID3 on the flat. It's true that it's very simplistic. But ~6 miles driven and the battery level went down 0.77kwh, and yes...

Re: Another ID.3 Newbie, ex Peugeot e-208
7.26 M/kWh? Holy moley. I thought the holy grail of efficiency was trying to get to 5 M/kWh? And I’m guessing that wouldn’t be in a VW.StewartManley wrote: ↑Thu Mar 13, 2025 11:42 amDon't rely on the accuracy of Tronity. It does a very simplistic calculation.

Re: Octopus charges but not Intelligently
Your’e lucky bump charge works for you. It doesn’t work for me. Made an enquiry with Octopus about 2 weeks ago and still waiting for a response. We also have a Zappi, which is integrated with IOG and the normal IOG scheduling always works OK for whatever percentage I request. Although I have found t...

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control - hard acceleration
I don’t really play around with all this stuff as much as other folk. My take on driving the an EV is I drive it as I would any car and that means I have the AC on all year round. I haven’t noticed any problems with driving in Eco or Comfort mode and the windscreen fogging up. My present efficiency,...

Hi guys my name is Mark and I am new here and am looking for some realistic guidance and advice. I currently have a renault Zoe on lease which is coming to its end in the next few months. I was going to get a 2nd hand Tesla as a replacement however due to the antics of their CEO I have gone off tha...

Are any windscreens a specific make. I had my ID3 windscreen replaced by Autoglass, as per my insurance company’s requirements. No problems since.

Are you sure? Mine unlocks OK but doesn’t lock when walking away. Unless I have missed a setting somewhere. It definitely locked as well as unlocked. Walk down the drive, beep, beep, flash, flash, unlock. Get indoors and put the key in its tin (I know it doesn't need a Faraday cage for security, bu...

It’s a well known dodge but I’m surprised that Martin Lewis has “advertised” it.g320y wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 11:49 am Useful tip from Moneysavingexpert about renewing road fund tax before 1/4/25 https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/utili ... es/#need-9

Re: Good Bye ID3!
You CAN set the car to lock when you walk away (with complementary auto unlock when you approach). I forget exactly where in the system that is done. I disabled it, as it meant every time I walked past the car if I had the key with me it went through an unlock / lock cycle. Very irritating! Are you...

Re: 5 seats in pro S - any issues?
I got a 77kwh to replace my 58kwh version and it's exactly the same in the back as the smaller battery version. Info screen is a lot better and more responsive, other than that it feels just about the same, only difference is the ride is less squishy as we have the 20" wheels, but still good. ...

Re: 5 seats in pro S - any issues?
The ride is less squishy as we have the 20" wheels, but still good. We were forced into the 20" Sanya wheels as the only available option, but would have been fine with cheaper/smaller ones. Having moved up from 15" wheels on our previous car (Fiesta), they look shockingly big. I am ...

Re: First EV drive on vacation?
I would not worry about that for the purpose of a hire car. They aren't unreliable, you just get the worst reading the Internet. And the hire will probably have breakdown cover if the wurst happened. Make sure you have read up well on charging :) “........if the wurst happened” I know it’s a German...

Re: Handbrake on motorway
Hi, If anyone wondered what happens if you push the "P" button on the motorway—yes, it engages the handbrake! I was a bit distracted; I wanted to push the windshield washer button, pushed the button on the other paddle, and the handbrake engaged. It engaged only for a split second, but it...
