Re: Air Con - Cooling
Gave my car to the dealer today. The person checking my car in kindly informed me at my car is around the 3rd ID.3 they've had this week with the same air con issue seems like it might be fairly widespread

Re: Air Con - Cooling
I've also been experiencing the same. Particularly in warmer weather the car seems to be blowing our warm or room temp air so not actually cooling the car down at all. I tried to call local VW branches but all their phone numbers just divert to the general VW customer service centre? The first guy t...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Woes
I have the same issue of the car not showing and the weconnect app shows the same issues that ksoni94 had, with the park position, etc not working due to no weconnect plus. However, when I go to the shop in the car it only says 'updating products please try later. How can I get weconnect plus? Hm i...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Woes
Many thanks. Basically those of us on Hypervolt, we have the settings on scheduled charge, plug it in and either stop charging from the car/ app and then let Octopus do the rest! I've been plugging my car in and changing the scheduled charging times on the hypervolt app to match the smart charging ...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Woes
Update from me. Managed to solve the issues but took a while to get there. After calling octopus three times I finally got some steps to try from their smart team. One of the steps was ensuring that "Park Position" was on, which is only available on ID software v.3.0 and above I think. Aft...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Woes
Just a thought - if you only got 3.2 yesterday perhaps wait a day or so for the WeConnect and everything else to be sorted out (and the 3.1 to 3.2 mini update thst happens after the upgrade. ah I've had the mini OTA upgrade. But yeah could wait for WeConnect and everything to catch up, I just assum...

Intelligent Octopus Woes
Hi all, I’m wondering if anyone has had any issues signing up to intelligent octopus. I have an ID.3 Family Pro that I got last Feb. I also have a Hypervolt charger installed at home. I’ve been trying to connect the car through the app and I’m just having no luck. I get to the “Connect your device” ...

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
Just got my car back from the garage after 2.4. However going into my settings in the car it still says ID software 2.3.0. Is this expected?

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
My car went in yesterday morning for the update. Not heard anything back yet and asked for a callback about two hours ago but nothing has come. Im hoping my car comes back today as they said it would

Re: First impressions
These are great. I've had my ID.3 for 5 months and its been my favourite car that I've had. Couldn't be happier with it. On some of the points: - I've never actually noticed the windscreen wiper issue, but maybe its because it hasn't rained a lot in the last few months so I found that interesting. -...

Re: Why does preconditioning take so much power?
I assume the 224 miles was with the climate, aircon off. Then after the 10 mins preconditioning you got in the car with it on. You would see a significant hit in that circumstance especially if the car was working hard to get to 18degs. Yeah your assumptions are correct. I guess I thought why would...

Re: Why does preconditioning take so much power?
Yeah to be fair I don't think the battery % takes much of a hit. I've done maybe 25-30 miles today and that's taken about 10% of my battery which I think is about right. It sounds like the calculation goes a bit wild though

Why does preconditioning take so much power?
Im likely not understanding how the feature works fully so im quite curious to know. Today in this scorching heat I was due to go out and so 10mins before I left I opened my app and started the air conditioning on 18 degrees. I had charged the car last night and already used it this morning. When I ...

Re: 6 weeks in and been hit by another car
Im glad to hear excesses were paid back. I've gone to my local VW bodyshop who are happy to take on the repair work. I initially wanted to wait for my insurers to get the admission of liability before going ahead with the repair so I can have some reassurance I'd get my excess back but I was told I ...

Re: 6 weeks in and been hit by another car
Yes unfortunately in the small print, looking at their excess docs it says there is a £200 additional excess for using a non-recommended repairer

Re: 6 weeks in and been hit by another car
Thank you for all of your help. I've called the insurers this morning who have informed me that I am free to choose my own repair centre but in the case I don't use one of their approved ones I'd have to pay my excess and and extra £200 on top of that. I'd only recover those costs if they get an adm...

Re: 6 weeks in and been hit by another car
Ah I see! Did you have to go through the insurers of the party at fault? I was hoping to use my insurers as a middleman almost. I've not done this before so I'm new to the process

Re: 6 weeks in and been hit by another car
Thank you all, I'll begin the process of asking for a VW authorised repair. I'd hope its not too much of a faff to get them to agree, particularly for a non-fault claim

Re: 6 weeks in and been hit by another car
Thank you, it was definitely the other parties fault and I believe they've admitted liability. I was stationary at a red light when this happened. They're sending me to auto glass for a mobile repair, so perhaps I should try and get them to take the car to the VW garage?
