Re: 2.1 update confirmed

I took mine in for the 2.1 yesterday. The only warning light I had was for the SOS call system, was assuming it was a software fault, but I have just heard it is a hardware fault, and they need to replace the relevant circuit board (under warranty) - hopefully not more than one day delay

Re: IONITY Charging - but not charging?

Replying to Scott - it shows the details of the charging session in the app (Sunday 1/11, 11:41 9kwh, 15min, £0.00) but I don’t see any indication of remaining credit, in the app. I also had an invoice email on 1st Dec, which listed It as 9.89kwh, £2.47, discount -£2.47, and stated “there are still ...

Re: IONITY Charging - but not charging?

I have used Ionity chargers (at Baldock, and Boxworth near Cambridge) - on a couple of occasions they were giving free charge, but the last time I was at Boxworth I needed to use my card and used up some of my WeCharge credit.

Theories about 12V battery drain

There has been a lot of discussion in the Facebook "First Movers" group about what can cause the 12V battery to run down, and people have been doing several tests. The main theories at the moment are: 1) When you stop the car, put it in Park, unplug the driver's seatbelt, and get out, the ...

Apple car play will be enabled in a future software update. The Heads Up display is not included in the UK “1st Edition” model.

Re: Totally dead

The way the keyless entry works is that yes, the car broadcasts a radio signal, and the key replies if in range - however this would be a very low power signal, and it is unlikely to be enough to drain a lead-acid battery in a couple of days. Keeping the keys close to the car may however drain the s...

Re: UK First Edition £500 charging credit

The card is accepted by Osprey, and maybe Alfa (mainly Yorkshire) and ESB (London, Coventry) - but I haven’t tried them myself.

They sent me the standard “vehicle health check” report - it’s good to see that the cambelt change is not due 😉

You could try rebooting the infotainment system: touch and hold the on/off button below the screen, keep your finger there for around 15 seconds.

Re: Software update (bug fixes)

Since the airbag warning first appeared last week, it always reappeared when starting the car. My dealer is Vindis group, Cambridge branch. https://vindisgroup.com/dealers/vindis-cambridge-service-centre They did not complete the update on Friday, and they still have the car over the weekend - they ...

Software update (bug fixes)

I have had the airbag warning light on since Saturday, so I booked my car in for investigation - due in tomorrow. Since then VW have stated on the First Movers Facebook page that there is an initial software patch available this week to fix several bugs, including this one. I have just called my dea...

Osprey chargers

I noticed some Osprey chargers (formerly known as Engenie) appearing in the WeConnectID map when filtering for WeCharge, so I emailed them to check - they replied confirming that they do accept the WeCharge card. There’s a fair number of them around the country, often in Marston’s pub car parks - bu...
