Re: Stuck in Offline Mode
Ours went offline a while back and I had already booked an appointment at the dealer when I tried what WeSupport suggested: Solution 2: WeConnectID Customer Service Recommendation One VW ID user connected with customer service via his WeConnectID app and was given a procedure to follow that would fi...

Re: Bridgestone Turanza tyres and punctures.
We have had a flat on the same tyre and almost same spot twice. Both times after driving on the gravel road to the cottage. Second time it was so bad that we had to replace the tyre with a Yokohama Blue-something XT. The original tyres are Bridgestone Touranza on steel rims. The car has a kit for re...

Not a fault: Filenames on music USB stick?
Does anyone know what names to select for album cover art. It seems to look for "cover.jpg" for the actual record, but can an icon be shown in the list as well? I tried "folder.jpg", but that did not work.

Re: Tyre pressure indicator - Summer/Winter
I called the dealer and they said it was the same in their ID4 showroom car. Showed "winter tyres" even if it had summer ones.

Re: Charging/range question
Yes. The range is calculated dynamically based on a lot of factors, mostly temperature and how you drive. If it is cold outside, the battery needs to be heated and you will see that when starting. A subtle hint is the blue bar indicating available regen. It is shorter when the battery is cold. We ha...

Tyre pressure indicator - Summer/Winter
Had a flat so I had to swap in a winter tyre to get to the garage (happened at home luckily) and now, with the tyre fixed, when I was setting the pressure warning, I noticed that it said "Winter tyres" and no way to change that. Why i that and does it matter?

Brakes freezing overnight?
Anyone else experienced this when remperatures hover around zero. Noticeable when we leave in the morning as the car jerks noticeably when the frozen brakes release. I know that this happens on other cars as well with drum brakes and the ID.3 has drum brakes in the rear, right?

Rear tow attachment?
I think that it is an omission that you cannot screw in the tow thingy in the rear. Now why would anyone want to do that? Well, Christmas day we thought we'd drive to the cottage and since there are people living at the end of the road all year around, we thought it would have been plowed, well it w...

I complained to VW that we occasionally had to start the pre-heat several times. This is their reply: "Thank you for contacting Volkswagen Digital Services. With regards to your enquiry, please be informed that on some occasions, specifically when the car has been stationary for a lengthy perio...

Re: Range degradation
We see that a lot now when it is colder. Wife drives to work and it is about 14km there (no public transport available), so she gets two cold starts per day which affects mileage. I also see a lot of ICE owners misunderstanding how you use an EV, ie that you ideally charge at home and at work if nee...

Current status of car software?
I guess everyone is aware that there were lots of issues with the first iterations of the software. But what is the general impression now? Personally have I not seen many issues. I reported an error in the navigation database and after first having got an answer from an idiot/AI-bot, I was put in t...

Re: Remote heater from app iffy?
You might very well be right. Tested today, clicked start, it spun and then came back as if nothing had happened. Took out the garbage, on my way back from the bin, the heater started.

Re: Winter road handling.
Looking forward to testing, but I do not expect it to be that much different from any other RWD car, like my 1970 beetle We have degrees below zero here now, but no snow. We have winter tires with spikes.
