Don't worry about it, we nearly always charge to 100% and after 11 months and 9K miles I've not noticed any battery degradation. Maybe in the winter drive a few miles after a 100% charge but at the moment just use the full range.

Are you sure the plug is going all the way into the socket? If there is any sort of obstruction the pin won't line up with the hole in the plug hence the charge is limited to 1KW to stop damage to the contacts if disconnected at 7 or 11 KW.

I think you get percentage showing at 20% along with the low battery warning. If you are that bothered about percentage showing leave the charge screen on in the main screen.

I doubt an hour will cause any problems, LED lights and screens don't use much. The heater uses the main battery so will knock a few miles off your range.
