Re: Solar power and battery charging
That’s odd from Octopus, I am on Go and get £0.15 for export and pay £0.42 for import. (Eastern region)

Re: ID3 service plan cost!
VW finally came through with an answer and they have upheld my complaint. They have agreed to fund the next service and pay £50 compensation!

Re: ID3 service plan cost!
I am in dispute with VW over their service plan. I purchased a plan that included 2 services but no MOT on the 12th November 2022. PastedGraphic-1.png A month later they emailed my to say they had forgotten to add the MOT and it was now included. They did attach a revised plan, but I just assumed th...

Software Feature Requests
If we put a list of sofware feature requests together do you think VW might take them on board. Not silly stuff, but things that could be easily achieved like: Welcome Screen: If after 10 seconds I haven’t pressed OK or switch user, could the welcome screen just assume it’s me please. I find myself ...

Re: 2023/24 INSURANCE RENEWAL PRICES
Luckily I took out a 3 year fixed price on mine last year with Saga. So it is still around £250. Saga also include EV cover such that if I run our of Juice they cover an RAC callout to provide an emergency recharge. Online quotes now are around the £400 mark. Thank god I didn't buy a Tesla. Their su...

Re: Post 3.2 Glitches & Charging ignoring max charge limit ?
Another oddity is that my App always shows the wrong range until I get in the car. I have checked its not in Km and I have synched it, however this morning it shows 117 miles at 80% again. When I get in the car it pops up to 186 miles….

Re: Post 3.2 Glitches & Charging ignoring max charge limit ?
Anyone concerned about charging limits not working, I advise double-checking whether you have created any charging locations and of you have, check in the app that you have set the correct limit in that location. It's in a different menu than the main charging target and will override it whenever t...

Re: Post 3.2 Glitches & Charging ignoring max charge limit ?
I thought it was just me. Since 3.2 charging has been OK, then the other morning I awoke to find that overnight the car charged o 100% even though it was set to 80%. Hasn’t done it since though.

Re: 3.2 installed at the dealer today!
Is anyone else having trouble with their car waiting an extended time for parts? I took mine in for the 3.2 update on 4 July, it’s still there; that’s coming up on 7 weeks now with no end in sight. I had a similar issue when my engine sound module failed (which meant you couldn’t turn the headlight...

Yep that’s all good on a major road, but where I live there are no white lines and it tries to pull me in to the edge of the road and the pothole I am trying to avoid (or the cyclist, dog walker etc)

Re: OBD11 after the dealership software upgrade from 2.4 to 3.2
Battery Life said recently that since 3.2, to use OBD11 successfully he had to have the bonnet open at the time. I don't know if this helps. It works! Just tried it and it went through without a hitch. Open the Bonnet and the App stops barfing on “Check Ignition and Try Again” However, I can’t get ...

Re: OBD11 after the dealership software upgrade from 2.4 to 3.2
Contacted OBD11 and they say that there has been a lot of issues since the 3.2 update and the most common error is the “check ignition and try again” error. They said they will try to sort it out on an actual ID3. No timescales though. Meanwhile its back to the turn it off manually on every trip.

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled
Mine went in yesterday for the update and it has been completed successfully today. Picking up later on. The loan car was a Golf with a manual box on a 23 plate. I really can't see the point in gears anymore. Spent yesterday on A11/M11/M25/dartford crossing and A21. A DSG based golf or and ID.x woul...

Re: Volkswagen cuts EV production Citing Strong customer reluctance
Interesting seeing the car registration data here in the UK for the year to June. (article from the Times) "While petrol vehicles continued to be the most popular type of car, at almost 56 per cent of the market, there was strong growth in the battery electric vehicle sector, with new registrat...

Thank you all. I'm not looking to add solar panels and a battery as we're hoping to move house in 3-4 years time and I know solar is a long term investment. I read somewhere that it's frowned upon connecting direct to the meter is this still the case? Something about the board not being owned by th...

you need to contact Vindis Cambridge". So I'm booked in at Vindis Cambridge for September 4th (!) and they said they will need the car for up to 4 days. It seems Vindis are looking at this different to other dealers and inconveniencing their customers. I rang my local dealer “Cooke’s of Fakenh...

I managed to get through to my dealer today, can't get me booked in till October, will try some alternatives tomorrow as October is a joke. Much like the VW UK website and systems. This is from the UK website, Needless to say that 0800 number doesn't work, the max number of digits after the first ze...

Re: Solar charging the ID3 / Bi-directional charging
Also be interested if anyone has experience of bi-directional charging. I'm thinking in summer my battery may get fully charged and FIT's these days tend to be poor. Is this possible with the ID3, does it require much additional inverter infrastructure? I wasn’t aware the ID3 supported bi direction...
