Re: Door mirror woes

I've had the same problem on my Id.3 twice now. The car is now just over one year old. No amount of twizzling or pressing of the mirror control makes it respond. But random lock-unlock, move between drive and park, get-in, get-out seems to fix it. Seems like another random software bug to me.

Re: Octopus Plug nCharge is here

Thats interesting. I've registered and they are going to generate a certificate which I need to install in my car so the Ionity chargers can authenticate my vehicle. Be interesting to see how that works - apparently I will get installation instructions! That was quick - I got a reply back from the ...

Re: No radio/media sound - after software 3.2 update

My car came with 3.2 and it probably does this every couple of weeks. It's fine next time I use the car or if I restart the entertainment system. I've long suspected it was something to do with the connection to my phone. I did think it was perhaps if my phone was on silent then it happened but I've...

Re: Stops reversing

This sort of thing is often also caused by the auto hold function if people aren't used to it or trying to manoeuvre in a tight spot. That wouldn't explain the car actually dropping out of R though. Yup, this happened to me trying to reverse into the drive, car didn't like being so close to gate po...

Re: Radio Station Logo's

I gave it a try today. I found I had to unzip the files and then copy across the Data and Meta folders to the top level on the USB Stick for the car to see them. It then spotted the update, did the upload and rebooted the screens. I didn't seem to help. The stations I listen to with missing Icons (e...

Re: USB C Sockets power

I've tried my sockets connecting my device via a USB-C power monitor (see picture). All four usb ports will charge my iPad at higher power (15v 1A) so the all seem to support USB-PD. A laptop connected would presumably draw the full 40w. I couldn't get my Android phone to go beyond the normal 5V and...

Recall for Passenger Airbag Fault

I've just had a call from my dealer to say there is a recall on my ID.3 for a Front Passenger Airbag fault. I hadn't heard about this but a quick search online found it on the government website. https://www.check-vehicle-recalls.service.gov.uk/recall-type/vehicle/make/VW/model/ID.3/year/2022/recall...

Re: B Bloomberg: VW's software woes

ID3 owner for 5 weeks. I agree, there is a huge disparity between the quality of the drive and the quality of the computer system. There is no online manual for the car or infotainment system, when one could be made available with an associated date, on the manufacturers site. Hence no index, and n...

Online User Manual Vanished

Until recently I could access an online user manual at https://userguide.volkswagen.de/public/vin/login/en_GB by using my VIN Number. Today it just says "No results were found for your current permissions". If I click the 'hamburger' menu top left I get told I am logged in with my VIN and ...

Re: There’s always something new with the ID3

Is the mileage shown in the car 1.6 times greater than that shown in the app? Quite a few of us on here have experienced that issue, which seems to be down to a miscalculation (double conversion) of the km/miles conversion. VW are aware of the issue and it might have been sorted in software 3.0, I ...

Re: my23 Family Pro Spec

Hi I have a family pro which was built 1st week October. Car does indeed have park assist although I have only tried once and a bit gimmicky for me, really impressed with the pro motor as pulls away nice and doesn't feel sluggish to me. Happy to answer any spec questions you have? I should be getti...

Re: Delivery time

Phoned my dealer for an update today.
Finally moved off status 00 but only to status 10 with a build week of 51.
Dealer thinks I might see it Feb/Mar next year so that's a 16 month wait.

I'm taking my car in tomorrow. [imghttps://www.id3forums.co.uk/download/file.php?mode=view&id=1940][/img] Does anyone know what a DVLA check code is please? Its a check that car hire companies want so they know you aren't disqualified or similar. I guess they want that for the courtesy car insu...

Re: Delivery time

My dealer has updated me to say I'm still stuck at status 00. However, from the evidence on this forum, the status no longer seems to mean much. I think watching my position on the Ordered tab of the spreadsheet move closer to the top is probably a more reliable way to determine when I'm likely to ...
