Re: Condensation and water droplets inside headlight

This was my original post and FYI the dealer replaced the complete housing without hesitation.
It appears to be a fault on many iD3's and it occurs on the passenger (near side) headlamp.
Hope this helps.

Re: Navigation Database Number

Thanks for the replies,
I think the 'cache' makes sense now that you mention it!
I just thought it strange how the version changed from 21.8 to 21.11, still it's a minor thing to me as I've driven the car now since October 2020 without any major problems. Long may it continue ;) .

Navigation Database Number

Hi, Can someone tell me what the latest Navigation Database Number is? Following a visit to the dealers to see if they could get roadside 'sign recognition' to work again which I had after part 1 of the OTA was installed, but I then lost it after Part 2 was installed. They didn't fix the problem but...

Re: Condensation and water droplets inside headlight

Dropped the car to the dealers this morning and they have agreed to replace the complete headlight.
The new one will come from Germany and may take a week or so, anyway I'm relieved it will be rectified.

Re: Condensation and water droplets inside headlight

Thanks for that, The one thing I can safely say is that I've never used a pressure washer (I don't like them) I wonder will the condensation evaporate eventually, anyway I've it booked in with the dealer on 8th October.

Condensation and water droplets inside headlight

Hello, I've just noticed water droplets in the nearside iD Matrix headlight housing (see photo) I telephoned the dealer and they told me they would need to check with VW HQ to see if it is covered by warranty. The car is eleven months old. Has anyone else got this problem? Thanks iD3 Headlight.jpg [...

Re: ID3 Software Update v2.3

I got the 2nd part today also, however Part 1 wich I downloaded last week gave me a lot more symbols showing on the road sign recognition system, such as warnings for school children, road works etc. they have now disappeared and the software version was 3.3.0 is downgraded to 3.1.0. wtf?

Driving Modes

Hello,
How do I set the colour scheme to change depending on the drive mode chosen? like Green for ECO, Blue for Comfort and Red for Sport.
Thanks

Re: Matrix Lights

Thanks for that...what confused me was under light setting' it says Travel mode: driving on the right. When I click that it says 'Right-hand traffic' and that is selected. Does that mean the lights adjust for traffic coming from the right? I agree, there's a lot resting on the forthcoming software u...

Matrix Lights

Hi,
I have Matrix Lights on the Plus version.
What is the correct setting for the Advanced main-beam control?
Mine is set at 'Driving on the Right' shouldn't that be 'Driving on the Left'? I'm in the UK.
Thanks

Re: Satnav and road sign assist freezing

I honestly don't know why we put up with this. We were lead to believe the software update in January 2021 was to include functions that were missing, and not that the remaining functions in the meantime would have many gliches. I have no confidence in the reliability of the iD3 as practically every...

digital instrument cluster

Hi,
On my iD3 1st Plus the digital instrument cluster is only showing two panels and not three.
According to the owners manual I should toggle the view button on the steering wheel.
The navigation panel doesn't show at all....any ideas?
Thanks Jack
