Re: 3.0 Software Update
My part 1 and various small follow-on updates are now all done successfully. New functions in the app seem to be working (park location, locked status). I've installed everything in the car (we connect plus, wecharge etc). SoC is now visible etc. The setup did take around 30 minutes all-in. I could...

Re: Concerns about the sound system
No it will just restart the infotainment system a bit like a PC being forced restart when it is not doing as it should, I doubt it will change anything it does sound like you have a hardware issue to be fair (sorry if that is bad news but it does happen).

Re: Small screen percentage
I tend to use the vehicle information screen then select the charging icon and that shows the percentage right there on the screen if you want to know what your percentage is I know this is not on the small screen behind the steering wheel but at least you get a view of it.

Has anyone used a Tesla home charge point?
Okay don't bash me to hard if this has already been asked (I did do a search but did not find the answer regarding the home charger) so as per the subject has anyone here used a Tesla Gen 2 home charger or one installed running on 3 phase say at an industrial site or even aboard? I ask because where...

Re: Air Con - won’t work at all
 Yeah but watch your range halve if you turn that nasty thing on my car did this morning I almost had a heart attack one moment the range was 218 then turned on that button and bang 112 JHC that takes some power but maybe that is a short circuit way to warm the battery drawing soooooooooooo muc...

Re: Sold back my ID.3 after a year
I do think this could be better explained to EV adopters coming from ICE, together with a dose of honesty and realism from the dealerships and manufacturers. I know, it's a forlorn hope. For us, we actually really wanted a Max rather than a Tour. However after researching ev-database.uk it became c...

Re: 80% battery charge vs full charge
I've seen people elsewhere say online that the Tesla GOM is always about 20% optimistic in winter. Personally I'd prefer the VW system... although I'd prefer it even more if the GOM was just an option to display but the %SoC was always visible, like a fuel gauge. Yes I would whole heartedly agree w...

Re: ID3 range-ometer just cannot be believed
I am not an expert on what the car is and isn't designed to do by default but surely if the cabin heater is on it is drawing power from the HV batteries and this is load on this means heat? Or am I wrong and the 3kw is being drawn from the 12V battery

Re: ID3 range-ometer just cannot be believed
Can I ask.. just got my car.. regarding the pre condition of the batteries.. do I have to set a time in the app for it to sort the batteries out. Or can I say, 15 mins before we leave I set the cabin temp to 19, will that start to pre condition as well. Just wondering. Sorry if it's a little off to...

Re: ID3 range-ometer just cannot be believed
I have had my Tour for about 3 weeks now and yes in the colder weather on short journeys to work <7 miles it is 2.7kwh but on a journey that is >20 with heating on (because we all have other halves that like to be warm?) I see 3.8kwh and I am sure if I were to go further a field I would improve tha...

Re: Delivery time
Interesting that there's a months order time between the 2 above posts but both at dealers around the same time. Is there any logical sense on the processing of these orders? I would say we both ordered the same car (Tour spec) and Newfie's got stuck waiting for SC's before mine but VW have p...

Re: Delivery time
Just heard from dealer he's hoping for me to tale delivery on the 23rd if all goes well. Snap although it all does depend on VW logistics I am told by my dealer so we should keep our fingers firmly crossed ;) Interesting that there's a months order time between the 2 above posts but both at dealers...

Re: Petrol Stations
My daily is a flat six Porsche. It has a serious addiction to the good stuff, and with V Power costing £1.60 a litre at the moment, it is ruinous on the pocket. Oh yes but I bet it sings a nice song (and therefore does not need to wear a mask) when you press the go pedal (assuming it is naturally a...

Re: Delivery time
I am gob smacked I have had the call from the dealership this morning to be told that my car has been completed and it is on the way to them and (and I did not push this agenda) feel a pre-Christmas delivery is achievable and I should keep my eye out for the VWFS email regarding the finance so that ...
