Re: Optimised battery use on/off

Seems to me there could a fault some where although the 12v is no different to any other car short trips do not keep the battery charged or there is a fault with the battery . I drove from Colchester to Birmingham airport so had a good run ,left on 84% for nearly 2 weeks in February cold weather cam...

Re: List of design faults - can anyone help?

No doubt annoying niggles there, but hardly a reason to ditch the car in my view. Each to his own I suppose, most of the issues you noted are dealt with here if you scroll through the pages. I've been in a Leaf regularly and I wouldn't swop the ID3 for what has to be one of the most boring cars I'v...

Re: Which charger?

We've been charging our new 2023 id3 pro launch edition 1 (software v3.2) with the supplied VW 3pin plug charger via an extension lead on an Octopus economy 7 tariff. Having finally got a smart meter installed (I'm sure pre privitisation it would have been much more straightforward to get a crumbli...

Re: First year

The mind boggles with these comments on Driver Assist. This feature is part of the 5 star safety rating for the car, I think learning to use it properly is a vastly better option than turning it off. The idea that it is driving the car into potholes and a distraction is total nonsense. I've never d...

Re: "fuel" costs in 8 months ownership

Apart from when we go away which was still cheaper i am fortunate to have solar panels so from April to now i have spent probably £30/40 on charging , will use solar when i can during the winter and perhaps a ev tariff for overnight.
