Re: Intelligent Octopus Woes

Interesting to read how folk are getting on with IO. I decided to give it a go last night after my fixed GO tariff finished. I'm on 3.0 from the factory so different to some in that there aren't any we connect apps in the cars shop so that step wasnt required. The test connection setup took a few at...

Ah thanks. I did wonder why I hadn't come across this issue mentioned previously. Thinking it might be best to just have the one unless there are benefits that out way the negatives of having two.

Profiles - We connect ID

Just got our car a couple of weeks ago. Myself and my partner both set up our own profiles and we connect ID apps. Have discovered that this reduces the functionality of the we connect ID app when my partner was the last to use the car. It comes up with a note saying you are currently not logged int...

Battery Life

I see the YouTuber did a year two test of his ID3's battery degradation and it's now sitting at 11% by his calculation after an 8% loss in the first year. I realise he wasn't looking after the battery in year one but he says that he was kinder to it in year two. I think the general consensus is that...

Re: Delivery time

Was yours a preexisting order that you picked up? Do you have your order number? Is it a non performance pro, curious as that's what I've ordered a day before yours and last update was week 47 build. Not as far as I am aware. Or if it was the dealership didn't let on that it was. Family Pro, Moonst...

Re: Delivery time

Just to close the loop I picked up my car on the 13/09/22. It would have been available on the 01/09/22 but the loan through the EST took time to come through.

Coming from a 12 year old Yeti the difference is just crazy. Yet to go on a long journey but around town it's been great to drive.

dega wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 11:46 am Hello, a question for everyone:

did anyone so far have to pay the 2.5k extra because the gov grand was not applicable?

My dealer just said that "my car does not qualify for the grant" (and just because I asked!)
So far I don't think anyone has had to no.

Re: 2 year service approaching £215 ?

So, I got a couple of emails from VW UK 1.) The 2 year service due email from VW, for our First Edition ID.3 2.) The brake fluid change is due I telephoned my local dealer (Johnsons / Warrington) and was told the cost for the 2 year routine service is £215. The brake fluid change is not required (t...

Re: Automatic lane change with Travel Assist - how does it work?

My car is Tech trim, on 3.0 - and I think it has the side sensors, as it does full assisted parking, proximity sensing on all sides, etc. I've tested the lane change more today, and it might be a software issue. Basically, the moment I start indicating it takes about a second for the car to realize...

Re: Delivery time

Has anyone on here actually ended up paying to cover the loss of the OZEV Govt grant of £2.5k because of the one year time limit? I ask because there is so much conflicting information about it, in theory I am within three weeks of losing it although my car is allegedly in production this week. Hav...

Re: Delivery time

What order number range where you on Dickie? 3156.... With that and a late November order date it does seem surprising that the car is built. Wasn't any mention of it being an order already in the system. Seems like I have just got lucky. The sales person at the dealership mentioned at the beginnin...

Re: Delivery time

I picked up my new ID3 yesterday. I tried to have the registration delayed until the 1st of September to get the new number plate. I was told that the car must be registered within 10 days. So missing out on a new ref plate by 4days. Anyone else have this problem ? I got my invoice yesterday with a...

Is it not the case that dealers need to put up demo cars for sale so they do but just with crazy prices so that no one will but them.

Re: Charging very slow

As an update to the slow charging issue, mine has spent a couple of days with the service partner. They referred to VW technical and reset a number of systems and control units. Sadly it has not worked and I still have a slow charging issue. Oddly VW UK denied there was a slow charging issue with t...

I received the following email from my dealer when I asked why I have lost the grant despite not hitting the 12 month period since ordering "The government are only honouring the grants for orders placed before 09/08/2021" I don't think it's phased correctly as it doesn't make sense. How ...

Re: Delivery time

There have also been some dealers who have said it's fine you will get the grant even if it goes over the 12 months. Will be interesting to see if things are applied consistently. Don't think I have yet heard of anyone not getting it applied. We likely won't have to wait long to find out though.
