ID.3 optimising efficiency

Hi All. Does anybody have tips for optimising efficiency, to get the most of of the battery. I’d be particularly interested in how much battery different features use (such as aircon and heating), and, for example, each of the assistive functions (e.g. adaptive cruise control).

Re: Delivery time

Ordered the Family Pro in December 2021, originally estimated for a July 2022 delivery. Multiple delays later, I’m now told its going to be at least May 2023…

Re: King Red - Bi Colour Wheel Trim

Where did you get a set for £100?

I can see them on eBay for about £160, but would snap them up at £100

Re: MY updates coming soon?

Has anybody seen these new premium interiors yet, and do they make a difference?

Can anybody spell out, what the actual difference is for the the Family trim?

Built in Satnav vs Apple/Google Maps

Is the built in Satnav any good in the id3? Does it do stuff like automatic rerouting, updating maps, and so forth? Basically, how does in compare to Apple/Google Maps using CarPlay? As I understand, only the built in Satnav works with the ID lights (turn animations etc.), so I’d like to use it if i...

Re: King Red - Bi Colour Wheel Trim

I went with steel as my very car savvy colleague (he does up old cars and sells them on) replied to the question with: “alloys are more easily damaged and expensive to repair and are heavier than steel. Steel is better.”
I’ve also read you get slightly better mileage with the steel and wheel trim.

Re: Do you follow VW advice on battery charging?

I’ve got a four year lease on order.

Does battery health factor in when returning the car?

Also, would reduced range be evident in the 4 year span if I charged to 100% regularly?

Charging etiquette - visiting people

I’ve an id.3 on order, my first electric car. What’s the etiquette for charging when you visit people, (i) if they have a charging point, or (ii) using a three prong standard plug. Is it rude to ask if you can plug in? Do you offer money if you do, how much? Should you leave it plugged in over night...

Re: King Red - Bi Colour Wheel Trim

They do look pretty slick! Mines on order (with silver wheel trims), a 4 year lease. Sounds doubtful that I could have the bi colour ones swapped in. I’ll probably just buy the bi colour ones separate. Presumably the lease company will be expecting the silver ones back, so I can’t sell them (I’m in ...

Re: King Red - Bi Colour Wheel Trim

Any idea what the cost of a set of 4 would be?

I can see then on eBay for £160 + delivery, but would rather get them direct from VW.

King Red - Bi Colour Wheel Trim

I like the wheel trims that come with the "Bi colour style pack" (silver and black), but not the rest of that style pack. It's a pity you can't order them separately. I photoshopped the bi colour trim onto the standard King Red, looks great!! Does anybody think the dealer would swap just w...
