Re: Dynamic electricity pricing compatible chargers
You do have to email them once you are a customer, I was dabbling with Agile for a couple of months while monitoring our typical usage (not just EV charging) and decided Go Faster would work better for us.

Re: Dynamic electricity pricing compatible chargers
Also ask Octopus about Go Faster - it's based on Go but is more flexible. Go is a fixed price at fixed hours - 5p from 00:30-04:30 - whereas with Go Faster has 3 options: 3 hours @ 4.5p 4 hours @ 5p 5 hours @ 5.5p All with various start times as early as 20:30 - they offer a limited number of slots ...

Re: Would you do it again?
I can't do in i3 comparison, but the above comments specific to the ID3 are very fair. Mine has been back to the workshop for a couple of hardware tweaks and a good number of software-related matters resolved with updates - but to answer your question in terms of everything related to the car itself...

Re: SERVICE SCHEDULE
Every 2 years I thought, which this article seems to confirm: https://www.volkswagenag.com/en/news/stories/2020/03/the-big-cost-comparison--e-car-vs--combustion-engine.html# "ID.3 does not require an oil change and only needs to be taken to the workshop for inspection every two years – regardless of...

Re: Cubic Telecom data / iPhone hotspot
From the note at the bottom of this VW page: https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/connected-services/connected-car For the use of the ‘Streaming & Internet’ services, individual in-car apps and the Wi-Fi hotspot, data plans can be purchased from Cubic Telecom, our mobile communications partner, and used in ...

Re: ME2.0 update cancelled
My dealer explained that they have to log every reported fault onto a central VW system, plus they asked me for the list in advance so they could be prepared. It was a no brainier for me to send them my list, and as I say on both occasions they’ve had my car they’ve fixed things which do not appear ...

Re: ID3 Home Charging
I tried to get timed charging working with my 7kW Pod Point the other night. My tariff gives me cheap rate from 20:30-01:30, I tried setting a departure time of 01:00 with a charge level of 80% and all the car did was charge at about 2kW - by 01:00 it was at 51% I’ve read elsewhere that it is known ...

Re: ME2.0 update cancelled
So, post-update to 2.0 this week, and getting the car back last night, popped out and spent some time with the car today checking functions out etc. - the good news is that everything seems to be working perfectly! Wireless CarPlay is great...and the simple change of having the home button on the d...

It’s not an official Facebook group and wasn’t an official comment from the tech, he’s just a member of that group trying to help owners - just like if a tech joined this forum.
