Re: Timing a Charge

I have 2.1 on my ID3 and it seems to be good so far, but I can’t figure out how to do an immediate charge when you are at home (and at your ‘location’) and have the timer set. The old infotainment system goodbye page had a button to start charging immediately I think, and the old manual refers to it...

Re: ID3 test drive

I've only pressed the START/STOP button to turn on the electrics when I didn't want to get in the car (such as the 12V socket in the boot) - I just sit down, buckle up, and press the brake pedal...

Re: Car Security + Insurance

I've seen enough of how specific a location you have to be in with the key for keyless entry to work for me to have it enabled.

I do keep the key in a pouch, but only as I already had the pouch and I sometimes move it when I don't want the car to wake up (as I also have the welcome lights set)

Re: 13A Charging Cable too thick...

Was this at a public charger or home?

Did you use the fat cable that has a Type 2 plug on either end?

This guide should help: https://www.zap-map.com/charge-points/v ... ing-guide/

I got a service plan for 2 services with my 1st Edition, didn’t pay any extra for it, car on PCP with VWFS.
Looks like some do, some don't. Or it's a limited time offer. Was your service plan through vw finance or vw dealership?

VWFS.

It’s in the second column, about half-way down.

Re: Newbie & Test Drive

one thing i haven't found with the ID.3 is user profiles including seat and steering wheel position; does this exists? Not yet, but they should be coming as the Golf 8 has them. Even if/when they are most models have manual seat controls anyway, and I don’t know if any models have electronic steeri...

Re: delayed charging to benefit from cheaper electricity

Timed charging has been available since the 2.0 software was released in December, I’m glad it worked for you as it doesn’t as expected for many others, often under-estimating the current needed to reach the configured percentage levels. There’s an option in Classic Climate to turn off the AC, but y...
