Re: Has anyone had the 3.0 ota update yet?

Thanks Chrisfs,
Good info, I somehow managed to post this thread twice and can’t find a way of deleting 1, maybe admin can remove and consolidate info, I’ll keep a look out for the battery life video.

Has anyone had the 3.0 ota update yet?

Probably a daft question as I’m sure there would be a post on here, but has anyone had the software version 3.0 ota as yet, I’ve just had 2.4 installed in my id 3 family pro at Wrexham VW, it took 2 days and now I’m wondering if the roll-out of 3.0 has begun?

Re: 1st breakdown since ownership

Hi, no it’s left me a bit baffled, the steering wheel wasn’t locked but the error on the binnacle suggested it was, it showed:- steering lock error, please turn steering wheel? I’ve never known the wheel to lock? On the service report it states, replaced steering wheel lock & diagnosis’ of error...

Re: 1st breakdown since ownership

My car is back, collected from Inchcape this morning, a new steering lock has been fitted, car washed and vacuumed, locking wheel nuts will be fitted free of charge next week, overall a good experience on the dealership front. Hopefully the car will prove to be reliable going forward, one thing I ca...

Re: 4th day of ownership and awaiting breakdown service!

Sorry to hear of your experience, my post is on here having had the car fail after 3 months of ownership from new, mine is currently at Inchcape in Chester awaiting a new steering lock? I agree it’s not looking good on the reliability front, the AA guy who took my car away said he’d recovered loads ...

Re: 1st breakdown since ownership

An update from Inchcape Chester, They have ordered a new steering wheel lock ? It should be with them tomorrow and fitted asap! I asked as to whether there were any updates to be applied to the car in respect of software version 2.4 or 3.0 but there is nothing as yet. Does anyone have a later versio...

Re: 1st breakdown since ownership

Unfortunately the car was stuck in park mode, rang the dealership just before closing time today to be told that the problem is still being diagnosed, so no useful information yet!

1st breakdown since ownership

So, Set off on my regular trip to Tesco’s, 10 minute drive, plugged my ID 3 Family pro which I collected in December 21, into the Tesco pod point (7 kw) to Graze some juice whilst shopping. Returned to car after 40 minutes, stopped charge & unplugged to then find a fault flagged up in the instru...

Re: Hi from North Wales

Hi Laurie, Yes, not many rapid chargers around unfortunately, I have a 50kwh charger about 3 miles away from my home & I will use that if I need a quick boost but it costs 40p per kWh, hoping to just charge at home using the Zappi, I have a 4kw array so looking forward to the better weather to c...

Re: Car only charging at 3.8kwh

Hi, thanks for the replies, useful to know, I will try to find out what sized main fuse we have, I don’t know atm. We are just in the process of having a new kitchen fitted with halogen hob, so at times there will be heavy electrical draw

Hi from North Wales

Hi All, Have been reading the Forum since ordering my car back in September, my local dealership had a cancelled order for a Family Pro Performance in Moonstone Grey, so I decided to go for that and collected it on the 8th of December 2021. I didn’t have to wait too long so was lucky I guess. The ca...

Re: Car only charging at 3.8kwh

Ok, just been out to car. Stopped the charge via the cars main screen, unplugged the cable, locked car, unlocked car and re-plugged the cable, now charging at full speed of 7.2kwh.
Can’t say why? But problem solved. Hope this might be helpful to someone if they encounter a similar thing 👍🏻

Car only charging at 3.8kwh

Hi All, New to all this as only collected my ID3 Family pro performance in moonstone grey last week. I have a Zappi wall box which I have used for a phev in the past. After a trip of about 80 miles, I plugged the car into the Zappi upon returning home, Zappi is set to fast charge, but I am only char...
