Re: Tyres (again)
Can vouch for the Continental All Seasons, replaced the original Conti Ecocontact 6's on my Tour. Better grip but slightly more tyre noise. If they last as long as the Eco's (37k) i'll be impressed.

Re: No locking wheel nut
Sorry for stating the obvious - the wheelnut key is stored in the boot along with inflation kit/towing eye in a polystyrene tray in the rear well.

Re: Window winder buttons - Journalists just don't get it
I have had an ID3 Tour from new for the last 2.5 years. 1) The haptic steering wheel buttons work just fine for me - never had a problem. 2) The "scratchy plastic" on the door trims work fine for me - then I dont go round scratching them every 5 minutes 3) I can't remember me having a need...

Re: Steering Wheel Off Centre
You probably clipped a kerb or similar which has altered your tracking - easily put right by adjusting one or other of the track rod ends.. Get it checked and readjusted.

Re: Air Con - Cooling
I have a Tour with the heat pump option and it can get really cold if you want it to in this weather. I just keep my temp set to 20.5 and it does the rest. The heat pump option uses CO2 as the refrigerant and this might be more efficient?

The VW 4G network and app have been down for several days now. My WeID is certainly giving inconsistent results at the moment.

Re: Would you order another ID3?
I have had a Tour for the last 2 years which has been pretty faultless. Only really charge it to 100% when we go on holiday. Only had to use a public charger once when we travelled to Cornwall last year but otherwise use destination chargers in the cottages we rent around the country. We are a retir...

Re: Price for wheel alignment
I need to get my wheels/steering re-aligned and given it's got Lane Assist, the price the I've just been quoted is eye watering so I thought I'd check to see if others have faced similar issues. Been quoted £150 for the wheel alignment and then £300 for the lane assist calibration(!) - so £450 in t...

Re: U.K. configurator now showing Business, Style and Tour
The residual price is dropping fast, I’ve been looking on webuyanycar and our tour was valued at £39000 a few months back and now it’s showing 26500, which to be honest seems more realistic considering it’s 18 months old now Ours is a work car so the cost doesn’t affect us but I couldn’t imagine ma...

Re: Type 2 Charger Extension Lead
I bought a type 2 extension lead from 4ev: https://www.4ev.co.uk/type-2-5m-extension-cable It works great. I only use it occaisionally to extend the charger lead to outside the garage for visiting EV's. They are generally frowned on as they are not idiot proof - the comms connection does not break b...

It might be your 12v battery is low or not charging properly. Do you have voltmeter to test?

Re: New rear tyres at 12000? Really?
Oh, lord! Just when I thought it was safe to order the Continentals. How can they be making top end tyres that are too thin to resist punctures? Not my experience - the guy was unlucky. The Continental Ecocontact 6's that VW fit are also self sealing (contiseal) allegedly good for punctures up to 5...

Got Continental Ecocontact 6 on my Tour (19 inch) - 17,000 miles and still 5mm left on rears.
