Re: Tyre recall timeframe?

What are the criteria for this recall? My car is currently in for software update and they noticed my tyres are low tread but want to charge me for replacement??

Re: SOS not working, amber

For what it's worth, I've just got back from Bruges and the SOS warning light came on, on the way back. The car carried on working fine and I may be wrong but, I've learned to ignore most of the warning lights (if the car is still behaving itself) and carry on regardless, because I've found that it...

Re: SOS not working, amber

Hello experts, this seems the same issue that I am having. I have the "SOS Warning" light come on all the time. Car communications seems to be fine, it communicates with the App. And to my embarrasment the SOS Emergency Call is working fine too (I just spoke to the Emergency Dispatcher..) ...

Re: Is yo-yo charging harmful to the battery ?

Hey all, Just a quick one. Is yo-yo charging the battery bad or harmful. So say I regularly take the battery down to 50%-60% and then charge it back up to 80%. Will that have a negative effect on the battery, am I instead best to always try and hit 10% before charging or? Do we have any advice ? Ma...

Re: Bike Transport retrofit

My car (when it arrives) doesn’t have the bike prep, am I reading this thread correctly in that this can be completely retro fitted? I did look at the Saris Bones, has anyone tried this or found another frame that works on the ID3? Correct, can be retrofitted. When I had mine the retrofit was £600 ...

Re: Rear mounted bike carrier

Is everyone happy with the rear tow hitch solution for bike transport? I am about to pick up a max but bike prep was not included as a factory option. The dealer has quoted me to retro fit and assured me it would be same spec as factory but I am a little nervous. Is the rear bumper pre cut and is d...

CANCELLED TOUR UPDATE Our (cancelled) Tour has left the factory. I was given the opportunity to uncancel. I haven’t; SWMBO wouldn’t let me! You couldn't make this up! Oh.... wait, I did.... Although I am happy for you that you are getting a resolution and can move on with your life, I can't help fe...

Re: Octopus Go New Tariffs

Sticking with the ID3 - with a stroke of extreme bad luck, my new job with company car has fallen through - the company.(supplying about 8% of all wholesale Pharma products to UK pharmacies) went into administration last Tuesday, halfway through my notice period and my old job has been backfilled. ...

Mine states a max load of 75kg (three bikes). There has been various threads debating the 75kg v 55kg issue, I can't say this has ever been completely resolved as to why the apparent discrepancy.

Re: Tour Pro S - tow hitch

I vaguely remember (but can't be sure) that the reason for not being compatible with Tour was due to the space needed for the additional battery cells meant no space for tow kit.

As ever, there is confusion surrounding this...and the fact that a VW dealer has retrofitted one just adds to it..

It is certainly delaying my commitment to buy, as I need 67 kg to carry our two electric bikes.
Is that 67kg just for the bikes?? I presume not, that is bikes + carrier?

Re: Rear mounted bike carrier

The data plate on my retrofitted hitch states 55Kg and, immediately below, states a max of 2 bikes. To me that suggests 55Kg as the max weight of the 2 bikes together. It maybe assumes that you are using the 2-bike VW carrier. So, I'm guessing, 55Kg relates to the weight you can load onto your hitc...

Does this involve sticking your feet out through the floor (as per The Ant Hill Mob)?
Is it only available on Max or all trims?

Re: Delivery time

We formally cancelled our order with the VW dealership today, and expect to be in a Model Y toward the middle/end June. The folks local to us who we were going to try to transfer our Motability order to found an alternative vehicle and cancelled their Tour order as well, so there was no point us ha...

Re: Brake Lights are distracting

Haven't followed an ID.3 so haven't noticed but can see it it could be annoying..... but not as dangerous as the lights not going on! I suppose VW have to err on the side of caution.
