Re: Totally dead
Hi Grafight, My ID.3 1st edition, needed jumpstarting by VW roadside assist, in less than 2 weeks from purchase. The second time it needed jumpstarting by roadside assist was 1 week after receiving the first software update (0570). I'm now on my second software update (0783) and second 12 volt batte...

Re: Has anyone received the Major Update ?
On Friday, I got back my ID.3 from the VW dealership, with the 0783 software bug fix. According to the garage the latest software will resolve the 12 volt battery drain problem. Hopefully it’s now fixed after being back to the VW work shop for the third time, and two software bug fixes. Apple car pl...

Re: Totally dead
This morning I was contacted by VW, to tell me that they would be installing the latest 2.0 software update. And that this software update should resolve the 12 volt battery discharge problem. They will be also replacing the original 12 volt battery, which has now developed a fault (presumably it ha...

Re: Osprey chargers
Hi Scott, It’s my understanding that the £500 credit can only be used on the Ionity network. And you get charged for using the other networks (such as Osprey) using the credit card you registered with ‘We charge’. But, hope I’m wrong.

Re: Theories about 12V battery drain
Wow, that’s poor! If I had had my car for two days and it failed like this I would be furious - “spare” car or otherwise... I haven't driven it for more than 3 hours before the "please charge battery" sign appeared. Which is good, cause that proves that the problem - that is not the empty...

Re: Totally dead
Stephen how long have you left it before the battery has died? I am pretty much in my ID everyday - not some Sunday’s) so probably won’t have the issue however it would be nice to know your experience Andy, In my case the 12 volt battery doesn’t have sufficient charge to re-start the car, after fiv...

Re: Totally dead
I’ve now had to call out roadside assistance twice to jump start my ID.3, since October. It is now back at the VW dealership for the third time , just to resolve the 12 volt battery drain problem. In my case either a faraday pouch for the key fob, nor the 0570 software patch have resolved the proble...

Re: Totally dead
Hi Hilly, I too have the same issue, with my ID.3. After a couple of days not using the car the 12 volt battery was drained, and the car was totally dead. The key fob wouldn’t open the doors. On opening the ID.3 with the emergency key, the car was non responsive; no lights, no sounds, nothing! The c...
