12v battery life
Just wondering what other peoples experiences are with the 12v battery, I am been vigilant checking it every week, and every week I seem to need to charge it up as it is almost completely flat. I am driving the car everyday, and I know ev have issues with 12v but surely the battery can hold a charge...

Kwh/100km
Hi Everyone,
What is a good kwh to aim for. My own is coming in at around 23 / 24 which feels high.

Re: Warning lights and software issues
If it is the yellow and red exclamation warnings, that have no error message on the main display for me, I had these warnings for about a week or so before my 12v battery died and car would not start. Once the 12v got a jump start warnings went away, so I suspect they are related in some way to 12v ...

Re: Totally dead
Well I ended up calling vw assist and they sent someone out and got me going in now time at all. Drove the car around for a while and seems to be working again. Just a heads up for anyone, previous to the battery dying I had a yellow and red exclamation on the panel behind the steering wheel. The st...

Re: Totally dead
I didn't think it was going to happen to me, but after 3 months of ownership, came out this morning to a completely dead car. Have a charger on it at the moment, but it seems to be saying that 12v battery is fine. I Will leave it on for a few hours and check again. But right now car is dead. Does an...

Re: Alarm goes off at random
Had the alarm go off last night for the second time, first time the boot was not closed properly and the second time I had left the key outside my Faraday bag.
Not sure of they are related but will.keep any eye on it

Re: Alarm and Acc
My alarm went off twice last night, first time that has happened to me. But it may have been due to the boot not having been fully closed. I have noticed with my car that you need to give the boot a good solid "slam" before the car registers to closed. Once I did this alarm did not go off,...

Unintended Acceleration
Had a weird experience today. I was driving around town with my wife today and as we turned into our estate the id3 started accelerating on its own. It was unsettling to say the least, pressing the brake stopped the acceleration. My wife thinks I just pressed the wrong pedal but I don't believe that...

Re: Enlarging the rear camera view
Ya it is possible. I discovered this by accident.
You just need to swipe the sensor screen to the left, this will make the reverse camera go full screen

Re: Report: Faulty Rain Sensor - visit to dealer with software update
My wipers are doing the same thing, I had put it down to a bug and was just going to wait until the software update in January but now that you are saying it maybe a physical fault I may look at booking the car in with the garage.

Reserve Range
Hi Everyone, I have not had the guts to test this but does anyone know if the id3 or any ev for that matter has a reserve range, like in a diesel car when you are at 0 you are not really you still 20 odd miles lefts. In an ev if it gets to 0 does it just stop, or is there a magic 15 / 20 miles in th...

Re: 90% charge only showing 216 miles
I am the same, waiting on the wall charger to be installed so using a 3 pin plug charger. 100% charge was at 216 miles. I have not fully charged yet with a fast charge unit, but I suspect the 216 is more to do with winter cold weather than anything else. Seen that someone here says it is also based ...

The cold weather might explain it alright.

Full charge range
Hi everyone,
I have just got a new id3 and enjoying driving it very much, however I noticed today that after a full charge the car is reporting 216 mile range to me. Should this not be up at 240 to 260 miles.
