“Warnings and Information unavailable. Drive carefully!”
Hi All, Have anybody got this error message? It happened suddenly while driving, the navigation was not updating, I hadn’t info about my speed or anything else on the small screen. The rest of the infotainment system was working, I could use my iphone maps for example. I’m wondering if it may be rel...

Hi All,
Do we need to have the battery over 50% for the update to start?

Re: Gear selector not working
Thank you for the link, I see it’s a common issue for some time. I don’t understand how the dealer can say that they haven’t heard about this issue, it seems that there is no good communication inside VW.
Cheers

Gear selector not working
Hi all, I had an issue about 5 times in 5 months, when I come into the car after being parked for a while it starts properly but the gear selector doesn’t work, it stays on parking, the rest of the infotainment works properly, no errors are displayed. The only solution I found was to lock the car, g...

Re: ID-3 Navigation System Live Traffic Reporting
Hi Anduain,
Did you mean that Apple maps indications shows up on the HUD? I thought that only the native navigation system was using the HUD.
Thanks for confirming

Re: ID3 Tour with 5 seats
@Pbaptista, I agree that that is probably the reason, and I think it’s positive to have both options. But this decision was probably taken months ago, you need time to develop a new configuration, approvals....... So why didn’t VW inform that a 5 seater was on the way? The only explanation I can thi...

Re: ID3 Tour with 5 seats
Thank you for all your replies, If the level of equipment is, as it looks, significantly lower in the 5 seater, I personally may keep the 4 seater order, but it will definitely affect my car’s future resale value. I’m still disappointed with VW, this product had to be on pre-production for some time...

ID3 Tour with 5 seats
Hi All, I need to lose my disappointment somewhere, I’ll do it here :) Have you seen than now VW is offering the Tour with 5 seats? At the moment on the German configurator. I’m waiting for the delivery of my Tour this month, I find it disappointing that even before the first deliveries they are alr...

Re: ID3 Tour, from Portugal
Nice Paulo, I’m waiting for mine, the delivery is next month, I’m deciding what accessories should I add?, did you add any? I got the mats as gift by the dealer, I may add the mud flaps, here in London rains a lot and it should help to keep the sides clean for longer, specially in white, I’ll also a...

Re: New Tour ordered
An update from my side, I’ve ordered a Tour today :), I wanted it with heat pump but the dealer told me that a custom built delivery would take long, around August, they were getting a few without the heat pump next month and I bought one. Exciting!, I hope it’ll come with the final software, not su...

Re: New Tour ordered
In the first tests I’ve seen on YouTube the heat pump doesn’t seem to give the expected savings, I’m waiting to see if the software update will correct whatever is wrong. If it proofs the extra efficiency I’ll definitely add it.

Re: New Tour ordered
Thank you Bengeo, I would have preferred the bench not split but I understand why they’ve done it. It looks quite good. I think I’ll also go for this model, I was between the Tour and the Max, they have similar price with similar equipment, we exchange the glass roof and the 5th seat for an extra 30...

Re: New Tour ordered
I want to put an order for a Tour, do you guys know what the back seats look like? I can’t find any photo and the dealer I’ve asked doesn’t seem very informed, is the bench split?
By Stevieboy comment, if I put an order know, I shouldn’t expect it before July, long time

HUD compatibility with Apple/Google maps
The Head Up Display is one of the tech features I like most from the ID3. For what I’ve seen so far, the native maps of the ID3 are not very good, especially compared to Apple or Google. Does someone know if VW is planning to make the HUD compatible with Google and Apple maps in the future? That wou...

Heat and electrical stuff on when engine off
Hi, I’m currently leasing a Corsa-e, I’m thinking to buy an ID3. There is one thing about the Corsa that annoys me, could someone please confirm if it’s different in the ID3? If I want to rest on the car for a while while parked and it’s cold outside, I cannot keep the heat on and use the other stuf...

ID3 Wheel options
Hi All, I’m waiting for the ID3 Tour model to be available in the UK, One of the draw backs I found with the Tour is the limited options on wheel sizes, with only 19 and 20’’, I find smaller wheels more practical, I’m not great at parking by the curbs, and there is the occasional situation when you ...
