Was this the Ionity at Maidstone services?Sindidziwa wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 3:11 pm I've charged at Ionity points a couple of times (Leeds and Kent) and not been charged either time. I think that some of the chargers are free at the moment. Maybe to get people used to using them before the 69p/kWh charge kicks in!

IONITY Charging - but not charging?
As I had a rare afternoon free I decided to head to a supplier and grab a coffee with a friend in MK. 110 miles from the office to the Newport Pagnall Ionity SC - It is the longest journey I have made in my ID 1st so headed off with 170 miles and got here (NP SC) with 80 miles available. Most please...

Re: Infotainment screen totally dead
Ha! Airbag lights are like an ID right of passage. Again it should clear once locked and left. Mine was on for over a week so I took it in for a check and they installed the 0570 software update which is much more stable. I haven’t had an error since. Took a while though - car was in the workshop fo...

Re: Infotainment screen totally dead
No Dan not had that! I have had to hold the power button for 10 seconds to fully reset the infotainment and then took 2-3 tries to get it back in (impatience probably) Try that if not the 12v battery disconnect will do a full system reset - from listening to the chap on YouTube talk about it the das...

Re: Has anyone received the Major Update ?
Hi there. I don’t think anyone has it yet. It sounds like the majority of dealers are not aware of it.
It will happen soon however the version 570 update is very stable (albeit missing a few features).

Continental Eco Contact 6 fitted to my 1st - very grippy even when driving a little more aggressively at 0.5 degrees. Looking forward to seeing how the ID traction is with snow - reports have been good from others

Re: New to id3 seeks help to warning.
That would be front assist impaired. Nothing serious - usually clears itself while driving or lock - wait 20 minutes and return.
Usually just parking sensors getting confused however can also be something obstructing the camera - rain sensor (bird poo or a big bug splat!)

New VW EV release!
Given the sporadic nature of the ID3 which we are all learning to live with, VW have released a new model based on the ID3 quirks - and now with self driving and more emotion!

Re: Dash cam and tracker
I have been toying at fitting my BlackVue 750 front and rear cams however I am also a little concerned over the 12V Drain.
I am in the car every day so hopefully will be okay.
Anyone have any recommendations for dash cam? Always used BV however their interface is grim!

Re: Good buy I3 Hello ID3
😣 good luck - just said earlier on another post - since airbag light was on for a week - took to my dealer and they reprogrammed various components - since no faults with any modules - fingers crossed. Have a word with your dealer - Norwich VW were amazing and given it was they first non PDI work th...

Re: SOS error .
Well lock the car and leave it for a bit (over 20 minutes with both keys well away from the car - it might clear however the new software update due in January should cover all the quirks! I didn’t wait for my airbag light to be looked at as was on for over a week - since back from the dealer I have...

Re: Good buy I3 Hello ID3
Thanks for the response, if i hop back to the car screen i see an avatar of my car but nothing about range or battery status and Air con option doesn't do anything. Re: What’s Up with the charging speeds ?
I think the cold certainly is making a difference on range. It will impact the batteries performance however add lights and heating and it will make a huge difference. When I purchased my ID one of the factors was we had to be able to get from Norwich to Kent on a charge - which in the summer would ...

Re: Software update (bug fixes)
Does anyone know why it takes four days to do a software update? Are they using paper tape and a teletype connected over a serial port? ;) I hope the over-the-air software update feature due soon doesn’t immobilise my car for four days when it does an upgrade! I fear it is a combination of lack of ...

Re: Key not working
Hi, Just picked up my ID3 on Tuesday and overall really enjoying it. However, this afternoon after a drive I got out of the car and pressed the key fob to lock it, but it didn’t work. Ended up having to fetch my other key which was working fine. Since then the car will not recognise the key at all....

Re: Software update (bug fixes)
Ah I caved. My airbag light stayed on for a week. Tried a few things found online including pulling 12v battery with no joy. I took it to the dealer and they have tried reprogramming the airbag module in the roof however it wasn’t successful. ( or they bricked it!!) New module being fitted tomorrow ...

Never had a complaint about my dangly bits from the wife - She did say it is was a bit long.scott28tt wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 4:14 pmNorwichComputersAndy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 8:46 am
This is mine - in a narrow carport so it couldn’t stick out past the electric meter which my father in law mullered
Too many dangly bits for my liking
