Re: Rear Tyre Wear
Not banking on getting more than 8k from the rears but if my experience of our BMW i3 unfolds with the ID3 8k will be best case. I thinks it’s just the nature of physics and current tyre tech: a very heavy car with a constant torque curve and regen breaking all through the rear.

Re: Prevent Shut down When Leaving Vehicle
Timley this I hit a problem Sunday being recovered onto a flatbed - put the car in neutral got out ready for him to pull it on and the car shut down going back into park. Didn’t have time to figure it out for safety concerns so he broke their procedures letting me stay in the car.

Re: Id3 catches fire after/during charge
People keep jumping on these EV fires. I’m friends with a firefighter, as above iCE fires are extremely common call outs and I don’t see that BEVS are more likely to catch fire. What emergency services are more interested in is ensuring they have the equipment and training necessary to respond to BE...

Re: Space Saver Wheel under Variable Floor?
thanks yes I've googled and noted there are 3rd part options for the saver and tools. Have to make sure the Jack is unto the job with the weight of the car.
It's where to store it that's the problem, the most obvious is under a false floor.

Re: 2.1 update confirmed
:P Had ours back from the 2.1 upgrade for a week now and so far not experienced the problems we had prior. The second key that wasn’t with the car for the upgrade hasnt worked since so it’s booked in to fix that. Now, don’t laugh but we are having problems with our other car and I think it’s the ID3...

Re: How is CarPlay working for you?
Seems to work over Bluetooth fine for us although I do get the odd stutter when playing music probably every 20mins or so with tracks stored local to my phone. The ID3 does it with both our iPhones and our two other cars don't do it on the same tracks via carplay.

I thought that too however checking my router when the car is asleep I can’t see it on the network so it seems only the 4g module is kept awake.

Frozen washer jets
Wish the jets were heated. Had to pull over this morning they were frozen solid and remained so for 29miles - visibility became bad due to the salt I couldn’t clear the screen.
I’m still on the screen wash it was delivered with which im guessing could be diluted Sumer mix too.
