Spare Battery Modules

Re: Over the air updates and app update
Models will be kept at the same software level as new cars throughout their entire life cycle. Older vehicles won't be penalised when new software updates appear." NO chance unless they define the the 'life cycle' in similar terms to computers around 8 years max. Step changes in OS and hardware...

Re: SERVICE SCHEDULE
Presumably the cabin air filter will need replacing at some point plus the car will get a fairly thorough mechanical MOT test every year after it is 3 years old.

Heat Pump
Simple Question-
Does the UK First Edition have a heat pump as standard or was it an option?
If it was an option how do you tell if it is fitted?

Re: Wheels
You need to be very careful with alternative wheels. Not only do you have the obvious diameter, width and profile that you regularly see quoted which relate to the tyres but the wheels also have diameter, PCD and number of bolts, the centre hole diameter, width and very importantly the offset. If yo...

Re: Breakdown Set/Tyre Jack/Wheel Locking Nuts
Roppenheimer Did you check the PCD and centre hole size and the offset before you purchased the golf spacesaver? Have you actually tried fitting the spacesaver yet? Does it foul anything? Have you got 18 inch wheels on your ID3 if not you are going to hammer the diff. Its not designed or specd to ha...

Re: Rear Wheel Drive configuration
Roadhawk Thanks for the link. Assuming that is what we have in our ID3's then it certainly appears to be a single motor close coupled to the two stage single speed gearbox and differential. Although i am surprised that the diff seems to have very few teeth compared with what i am used to but I am no...

Rear Wheel Drive configuration
Does any know how the drive is configured?
Unfortunately looking under the car doesn't help as its all covered up.
Is it a single motor with a differential or two separate motors?

Re: Breakdown Set/Tyre Jack/Wheel Locking Nuts
Found the Locking Nut Adapter, Towing Eye, Hi Vis Jacket and First Aid kit. I have added Jack, Wheel Wrench, TyreWeld Aerosol, and Hole Plugging kit. Unless you have a spare wheel then you either call Rescue or at best might make a few miles to a garage, Space-saver spare wheels for VW for Golf etc ...

Re: Breakdown Set/Tyre Jack/Wheel Locking Nuts
We didn't get any of those items either.
However i have 3rd party seal/inflate device and a jack left over from a previous car.
What i don't have is a locking wheel nut adapter.
Will be on to VW next year
Does anyone know if you can get a space saver spare wheel for the ID3?
