Yes the option to install appears on the goodbye screen.

I'm not that clever :-) We've seen at least two successful installs on the UK facebook group, and several more on the ID drivers club.

I did sign up for it, but did not get selected in the first 1000.

Re: 3.0 Software Update

A quick note to report that the 3.0 OTA update has now been sighted in the wild. We had one in the UK reported as in progress on the VW ID.3 UK owners facebook group and another on the ID Drivers club facebook group.

Re: Software still says 2.3 after 2.4 upgrade

It seems in later releases (I saw a screen shot from a car running 3.1) there is a separate applet to show just the ID software version (which seems overkill to me!).

Re: Cancelled 2.4 up-upgrade

Is Leamington Spa still doing VW work? We have 2 cars on order through them and they've just moved to Stratford. Yes seems they are operating now as a VW Service centre in Leamington Spa. I've generally heard good reports about them and they did the 2.1 upgrade for me as well as sorting the car whe...

I had mine also cancelled by VW Kidlington. They have offered me late October for another appointment. I have booked it in now for early September at Leamington Spa.

Re: We Charge offer

For those using WeCharge for Ionity, its worth a note that Ionity has joined the list of charging providers available on the Bonnet app. This gives PAYG at 35p/kwh at the moment, and charges as low as 25p/kwh depending on the subscription. For those unaware Bonnet subscriptions include a monthly amo...

Re: Maintenance List from Dealer has items marked NOT OK.

My 12v batteryon my 1st Edition failed in July/August 2021 and was replaced. VW have said there will be a recall and they plan to replace them, so it does not surprise me to see that flagged.
I expect most cars will have stored some errors as the car O/S is still a bit flaky even now.

Re: Charging

As folks above say the car programmed charging is buggy. Some users have reported that if they program it in 1 hour blocks that it works for them ( a bit of a kludge). I've not tried it myself as my charger handles the timing and I set the car to the required SoC.

Re: 12V Battery

I had this when my 12v battery was failing, in the end getting it replaced under warranty. I started to get a lot of errors on startup, which I do not think helps the car, getting the proactive occupant restraint warning also after a time. I had tried driving and trickle charging the battery and tha...

Re: 12v battery life

My 12v battery failed in the summer and was replaced by the dealer. At that point I had had the car for 9 months. Iy started with the 12v low battery warning, eventually a 12v supply fault which stayed on permanently although the car was driveable. The car ended up drawing from the HV battery when l...

I take it all other comms in the car is functioning ok, so the SoS light in the roof is green, and the navigation app works ok, and shows suggested destinations with times in green at start up after about a minute (showing connectivity to the VW servers) Have you tried to login on the web to see wha...

I have the EO Mini Pro 2 untethered mainly due to the small footprint and the fact it was an easy purchase install with Octopus. It works well with the Go Faster tariff. 200 miles of range is typical at this time of year. As Scott notes there are many factors. I charged to 80% two nights running, this morning the range is 180, the day before 169. Today is about the same temperature as yesterday, however yesterday I did a mainly busy A and B road journey averaging 3....

Re: It's driving me bonkers !

To disable Speed Limit Warnings, Press the Assist button. Touch on the Road Sign (1) to bring up Dynamic Road Sign Display screen. Select Speed Warning Off — this is a persistent change. I did this early on in the ownership, primarily as at that time the cars confused miles and kms for speed limits,...

Driving with ACC, where it automatically detects the speed limit I get fairly frequent (momentary) messages Speed Limit Exceeded . I would not expect the automatic system to ever exceed the speed limit set. I have commented elsewhere about the delay of the ACC driving off after it has brought the c...

This is an old screenshot from an earlier software release but the settings should still be there to adjust the advance warning level (accessible from the Assist settings).
It has four settings, Early, Medium, Late, and Off

Re: Not pulling more than 50kw on a rapid....

There are a number of variables at play including state of charge (SoC), battery temperature, ambient temperature, max amperage output of the charger and so on. I was able to get 90kw even at 30% on a sunny day in June at Ionity Cambridge ADB7AA0A-2D42-4C78-9068-1F8648590D5F_1_105_c.jpeg If you use ...
