Re: Price for wheel alignment
Yeah it’s 7 months old. I figured I’d have a hard time trying to claim on warranty but the steering’s always felt a little out, it’s not so noticeable but figured now that I have some time I’d try and get it sorted. I’ll have a chat with the original dealer and see what they say. In my experience a...

Re: Price for wheel alignment
I need to get my wheels/steering re-aligned and given it's got Lane Assist, the price the I've just been quoted is eye watering so I thought I'd check to see if others have faced similar issues. Been quoted £150 for the wheel alignment and then £300 for the lane assist calibration(!) - so £450 in t...

Re: broken down!!!
Had the car shut down last night. Loads of faults on dashboard, incl electrical drive fault then went into limp mode. Now being carted off to dealer. Has anyone else had this? Hoping it is an easy fix, but dealer is saying this is the first one with this issue! Not seen that extent of problems befo...

Re: A warning about houses fuses
The fuse upgrade should be done free of charge by the DNO when they are notified (by your installer) that you have booked the install. This of course is if it is required. The installer should survey your property before contacting the DNO and the provide them with the correct information. Pretty s...

Re: RCBO Tripping
Just an update on a post I started at the end of last year. Pod Point came out and checked the RCBO out a couple of weeks ago and said all was fine. It tripped at 24 milliamps I believe is what the Electrician said? As no faults showed up he changed the circuit board in the wall unit which was grea...

Re: Sitting in the car - how do you turn it off?
You can press the silver button on the RHS of the steering column to effectively turn the drive off. In those situations though I just turn Air Conditioning off. If its really cold you can keep the seat heater on and what looks live in the car is not really hitting the range if preseving it is the a...

Re: Selling ID3 through Motorway, anyone?
I did the same back in October and almost came unstuck. The problem I had with Motorway, quite apart from what Monkeyhanger said, is that if the car is too new and dealers dont seem to have access to history and HPI ETC they pass on a bid. I was offered £32k from Motorway for a Life Pro in white wit...

Re: Charge to 100%
Yup if I need 100% I charge up to 90 in my cheap octopus hours - then start another charge to 100 to finish when I plan to leave. That's what I have always done. You just have to remember to switch the schedule charge off on your charger app and increase the charge level on the Cupra app to 100% so...

Re: Electric drive error & can’t switch car off/lock it
Seems to have been a faulty abs sensor. Not had a repeat of that particular error since. However, it has been back in as front assist error kept appearing and it did an emergency stop mid drive at 25mph for no reason. They have updated the car’s sensors apparently so fingers crossed this doesn’t ha...

RCBO Tripping
I have had my Pod Point Solo for around a year now and occasionally it fails to charge because the RCBO trips randomly in the charge cycle. Last night it was at 53% from a 46% SoC. Sometimes it may trip at 78%!!! It is happening more frequently in recent weeks, maybe 1 in 4 charges fail. I have logg...

Re: Safety Fail. driver side door open and car moves off
Mine did this the other day. I had the drivers door open and engaged drive, leant out to see how close I was to the edge of my drive as space was tight and the car crept away. I assumed that I hadn't pressed the brake pedal hard enough to engage auto hold. I will try it again later to check it out.

Re: Delivery time
It's going to be interesting seeing if people that have ordered their cars after the August cut off for the Grant VW communicated actually get the £2.5k I have a feeling dealerships have been told to try and get customers to cancel. The fact my dealership is now taking orders for ID5's before even ...
