Re: LHD Wipers Fitted to RHD Car
I suppose it's difficult to differentiate between visibility on the ID3 and a car with RHD optimised wiper linkage during a storm with a deluge of rain water - in that weather, its going to ge hard to see much either way, with the RHS optimised wipers likely only marginally better. Worst rain I was...

Re: Does in car scheduled charging work now?
Well, it did work, but didn't quite reach 100% by the time I set, I think it was 93% or something. I think in the future I'll just charge to 100% the night before. Also, when I got back I plugged in at home and told it to charge to 80% but my scheduled charge 100% setting seemed to override it, eve...

Re: LHD Wipers Fitted to RHD Car
Doesn't look like they have done it on the Born even though they moved the Light Switch panel. I suspect given the amount of retooling it would require on the production line that is an update for a long way ahead in the future, if at all. As I said prevuiosly MB and BMW have cars where it hasn't be...

Re: Error drive , go to workshop
If locking it and leaving oit for 20 minutes hasn't resolved it then AA.
AA will probably just disconnect 12v battery as there's not much else they can do.
On mine the D/B R N display was not showing anything at all and the switch seemed to do nothing. VW replaced and been fine since.

Re: One Quarter of UK Tesla Supercharger sites open to non-Tesla vehicles from today
I wouldn't really recommend using any non-Tesla sites who perhaps misunderstand how many sites are available. Here's a direct link to Tesla's map which shows only the non-Tesla superchargers . Lol Your probably right, not only that but now I look at my link again, they missed Cardiff off the Wales ...

Re: One Quarter of UK Tesla Supercharger sites open to non-Tesla vehicles from today
Wow I was largely ignoring this as I hardly ever charge away from home, but i was intriged as to number 8 on the map assuming it was the Wirral or Liverpool and near work.. It's actual Flint Mountain in Wales and about 10mins away. Didn't even know they existed hidden back behind the golf club.

Re: 3.0 Software Update
Is anybody getting letters about the 2.4/battery change from the dealer they bought their car from yet? Ours was a pre-registered car with a handful of miles on it bought from a main dealer so technically we’re not first owner, so if others who bought brand new are getting letters I’m wondering if ...

Re: LHD Wipers Fitted to RHD Car
If it been approved then it must be safe!! Why aren't they taking us seriously!!! They have taken it seriously, they have replied which means they took time over your enquiry. The wipers have been approved for use in the UK, if your not happy with that then you should be approaching the Vehicle cer...

Welcome.. there's a couple of threads on here about the tow bar (although you can't tow) and bike rack which may help.

Re: Software 3.1
So 2.4 is a workshop update ? Would your dealership then contact you to get this done, or is this an 'Optional update' thing that they end up charging for ? Also wondering if 2.4 has anything in it in the way of doing something with the screen behind the steering wheel as 33% of the screen on mine ...

Re: Stuck in Offline Mode
I was thinking of starting an Online/Offline thread and editing my post each time the car went on and off.. I was getting week on week off but recently it was off for a week came back on the Monday and was gone (and still is) a week last wednesday again. Really quite pathetic, clearly the backend is...

Re: Software 3.1
So 2.4 is delayed until who knows when.. I doubt before Q4 this year leading to another winter of poor range (if indeed 2.4 is being used to do the firmware update for the heating thresholds) Then VW will point out that 3.x is immenent and so to reduce disruption to it's customers (as they are alway...

Re: Understanding the info screen / range / MP?
There is no measurable (via the normal infotainment) battery consumption in an ID left overnight (or even for a week) unless something is wrong, or if you are preheating the car. Look at whether the actual battery % has reduced - either in the charging screen or in the app. If it hasn't then it's j...

Re: Software 3.1
Youtube and netflix would be great to have apps, chance to watch a tv show whist waiting dor a charge to complete makes perfect sense. How does this make sense? There are multiple other devices that are better for this. VW need to concentrate on the software elements that make it a useable car, not...

Re: Software 3.1
It would be nice if they moved the heated steering wheel button to the right hand side of the screen rather than having it on the passenger side. While they were at it on such a big screen it would be nice to have buttons for off, 1, 2 and 3 for the steering wheel and heated seats rather than tryin...

Re: Software 3.1
Still, this suggests they’re not slowing down with the updates which is nice. Shame they have no way of getting the updates out to existing cars.. 3.1 or 7.1 it's no good with the current update regieme I have decided that the reason for the 2.4/3.0 delay is so we skip directly to 3.1 Please leave ...

Re: Brake Lights are distracting
Car slows down due to braking, brake lights come on.. Not sure what you consider dangerous about that. As you have already said, if you are having to over react to the lights, you're driving too close. But technically they are not braking they are decelerating, there is a difference. Its not about ...

I went a good 10 months with no issues, then since the beginning of the year it's up and down like a yo yo.. It went offline about 10 days ago, then came back online on Monday this week, and is offline again today.
