Re: Timing a Charge
Been watching this thread but my circumstances don't demand timed charging currently. Out of curiosity and as I was down to 27% last night I had a go at setting something up. Set up my home location (Zappi charger) and configured a charge. Set leaving time as 08:00am Asked car to charge to 40% immed...

Re: Hello from an excited new member
Yes, There are set ups that allow the use of excess Solar to be diverted to the car, it depends on what you are using for charging currently?

Re: Mirror dip when reversing
If you drive in your lane and use your indicators where you're supposed to, not an issue. Well if you're that sure, I invite you to rural West Wales, where on bendy B roads with white lines that often are barely far enough apart for a large car, it certainly is an annoyance. Lol finally an advantag...

Re: Mirror dip when reversing
Whatever you think it is, I understand it is intentional. As for Lane Assist defaulting to on, that is definitely intentional as it is part of achieving the 5* NCAP rating. Lane Assist obviously intentional, the mirrors though? This worked perfectly on my EOS and fairly well on my Tiguan. as the ca...

Re: Rear Speakers
The radio is using BT for the phone connectivity I think. (It seems to need BT and either WiFi or a USB Cable to function fully. I doubt it has the capability to connect to multiple devices but I haven't tried. The issue I think for many owners is that Full sound with output coming from the rear, no...

Re: Mirror dip when reversing
I have noticed this and it is quite annoying, and as you say seems to be a step back from previous models. I assume it is the type of switch they are now using, on the up side I think it will prevent the habit of leaving the heated mirrors permanently on.

Rear Speakers
There's much talk (more on another forum than here) about the lack of rear speakers and the cost / hazards or retro fitting some. I discovered today that my Samsung Galaxy S10 (Andoroid 11) is capable of connecting to multiple speakers via BT simultaneuosly. This I went and tested with devices in my...

Re: Tool kit??
The available range is based on current conditions and consumption just as it is in an ICE car.. If you drive gently down a never ending hill (hypothetically ) and then turn around and floor it back up when the battery reaches say 55% you won't make it back as the cxar will use far more energy. It's...

Re: CarPlay after 2.1
ha ha ha "internet radio".. let's not go there.. I got used to plugging the phone in to the USB with my Tiguan and I think I'll just do the same with the ID.3..I actually bought a 15cm USB C - USB-C lead so it's a neat enough set up, makes having a wireless charging pad a bit pointless though (Keeps...
