I think I have finally worked out the purpose of having a Wi-Fi connection from your ID3 to your home router, it stops the ‘internet radio is unavailable’ error from appearing on start up.

Happy to report my 2.1 update completed yesterday (dropped off last Wednesday) and the car was picked up today. Seems okay, more than that didn’t realise how much I absolutely hated the loan car (ice golf highline) compared to the id3. Time will tell, but pleased with the vw customer service so far....

Car completely dead for the second time this week, dealer booked it in for the software update this coming Wednesday so happy about that. I was half expecting this to happen based on other people’s stories so if the software upgrade fixes the issue I am all good.

Thanks for posting the update. I had the exact same issue last night, no option for ACC when driving. I also had to clean the windscreen when setting off. After parking it and getting back in a short while later, it was all working. My theory is that, if the camera is dirty, it will fail a self test...
