Re: Totally my fault - but a warning to others - park button
I second Sparky's comment. It's been standard practice in all cars I've had with an auto box and electronic handbrake. I had an A8 a few years ago and the break line split on country lanes, pedal just dropped to the floor over about 5 seconds. I was very very grateful for the emergency brake as with...

Re: Home Charging- using location
I've got a ticket open with both VW and the ID App help desk RE timed charging. I've tried it every which way and although it sticks to the preferred times and also uses the plug for preheating etc reliably. There's one major flaw in that with location-based timed charging enabled with or without a ...

Re: THINGS MY DEALER DIDN'T TELL ME ABOUT CHARGING
I agree with Scott, the granny charger thing is a bit misleading. I come from an electronic engineering background (many years ago but the principals remain the same). Before I had a Pod Point installed, I used a granny cable for the first two weeks every day to charge from about 50-60 to 80% and ha...

Re: Tyre Inflation kit
I did not get one. Just a secure wheel nut key, cap remover, and warning triangle. There are mixed reports but some very helpful links to the fact that the tyres are self sealing on here and therefore you don't need one potentially... My car was a 1st Ed with Bridgestone tyres.

Re: 1st Edition Display Unit Software Versions - Pre and Post 2.1 Upgrade
Thanks Scott, I did think similar but it was mainly the dealer telling me that the 2.1 upgrades kept failing last week and then literally 2 hours later (friday 4pm) that it had been compleated with no new HW that just made me a bit suspicious, almost as if just the core module had been done to tick ...

1st Edition Display Unit Software Versions - Pre and Post 2.1 Upgrade
Hi All. Didn't want to clog up the main chat forum with this and I know there have been some passing comments in other threads. I thought it might be interesting to see and understand why there are so many combo's of control panel software out there, especially on identical vehicles. Could it be tha...

Re: Driver Seat Height off Ground
My answers obviously subjective but here's my 10 cents anyway..... I drive an XC90 and traded in the wife's Peugeot 3008 SUV for the ID3 and we both feel the ride height is good. It's nowhere near the XC90 but not far off the 3008SUV. I'm 6"4 and find it perfectly easy to get in and out of wher...

Re: 2.1 update confirmed
An update on my 2.1 upgrade (Car went in Wednesday morning) It looks like their having issues and called yesterday to say the upgrade from 2 - 2.1 wouldn't get past 75% complete. Apparently, VW have issued them with a few workarounds which they are running through today but at the moment the cars no...

Re: 2.1 update confirmed
Has anyone had the update compleated as yet? Mine is booked in for Wednesday the 10th but I've seen conflicting info with some saying theirs was booked in last week and others saying the updates now not available until mid-March?

Re: ACC functionality disappeared - Its as if it never existed!
If your theory holds true it's a pretty poor system. I've got ACC on my XC90 and have had it for many years on various Audi's and its always worked with the exception of driving in snow when the front of the cars are covered and hamper the radar / lidar sensors and then even when the system doesn't ...

Re: ACC functionality disappeared - Its as if it never existed!
An update for anyone that was interested in this one. Climbed in today and ACC back as it should be. Must be a software thing for it to have disappeared from the menu completely. I have noticed that there's an air bubble under the sticky pad that holds the rearview mirror and sensors in place, the w...

Re: App connecting to car
I've had a similar experience but I think from reading other threads it's just a case of wait a bit and try again. It's the app/server/car connectivity that's the issue and probably not local to the car itself as others have also said. I'd sleep on it and try the app again before resorting to the re...

Re: ACC functionality disappeared - Its as if it never existed!
Appreciate the suggestion hwhbev, the cars actually pretty clean but I will have a wipe. If it was a sensor issue, I'd expect a warning light or message to say unavailable. The thing is, the features also missing from the main screen menu now as an instaled feature.

ACC functionality disappeared - Its as if it never existed!
Odd one this and different from other ACC thread so I thought I'd post it here. Climbed in today for the nursery run and went to activate ACC which has worked well thus far. It's gone! The only option is speed limiter which works fine but no ACC. No warning lights to say it's inactive or disabled or...

Personal settings for each key
Hi all! New owner as of yesterday and so far so good. The exception being the dealer not really knowing the car very well! Can anyone shed any light on how to do the following? I have had a look through existing posts and dont seam to be able to find an answer. 1.) Can you pair personalised settings...
