Re: Rubber mats and load liner for sale

I'll see how heavy they are to post. I'm assuming the set should cost me no more than a tenner to post, but will have to weight them first.

I still have them - whereabouts are you? If you're anywhere near Newcastle, they could be collected.

Re: Slow VW repairs: any way to move things on?

I hope you aren’t being treated this shoddily due to the fact that you bought the car elsewhere? I’ve always wondered if dealers won’t pull their finger out to help, if they didn’t sell the car. I have definitely seen this happen. We have 2 local sets of VW dealers in Tyne and Wear - Lookers and Pu...

Re: ID.3 Family Pro Performance 58kwh (Nov 72 Reg) £28,675

Hmm fair shout, I might give them another try, it's been a while. WBAC are still around £26k which isn't too bad, considering... I guess. If WBAC are offering £26k, I'd be surprised if Motorway aren't offering what you're looking for now, they're usually considerably better. If not, PM me and I'll ...

Re: ID.3 Family Pro Performance 58kwh (Nov 72 Reg) £28,675

I checked motorway price for the Born again today by putting in the reg again - still the same £31200 indicated a month ago. That is crazy. The Born is a very nice car, but how can a newish Tour be worth only 2/3 of it? Maybe a few of those dealers got burned by ID3s they were selling for £8-10k mo...

Re: Is this the return to cheaper tariffs?

I'm on the Octopus Gas Tracker right now (seems to float around 5p per kWh. My 5p/15p per kWh Octopus Go deal ends 21 May, and I'll be moving on to the Electricity tracker - it's floating around 20p per kWh right now. No cheap period, but I did the sums for our mix and its cheaper than 12p/42p per k...

Re: ID.3 Family Pro Performance 58kwh (Nov 72 Reg) £28,675

Have you tried Motorway.co.uk again lately? They only quote £24k for my 8000 miles Tour! Less than a year old and only just over half of what I paid for it. How you got that Born deal I don't know! :) Born values seem to be holding up better than ID3 ones it seems right now. I still got £7k less th...

Re: ID.3 Family Pro Performance 58kwh (Nov 72 Reg) £28,675

I can’t understand why the second-hand (well pre-registered in this instance) values have dropped so much recently. A year ago we could make money on a new car delivery, now we loose £10,000. I can only guess that most people don’t have the cash to buy a £30k pre-registered car and want a loan/rent...

Re: Boat Watching

Starting to think Location 40001 must be Tyne, there have been more ships than enough Emden to Grimsby but my car is still sat at status 38 in location 40101 (Emden). Its been there a month now, must be a good bar or something. EDIT - Nope found out location 40001 is Grimsby, my car is still at Emd...

Re: Driving in icey conditions

Thank you so much for this advice I really would like to get the id3 but am very concerned about it being RWD The winter tyre suggestion hopefully will help minimise the risk Have you had a test drive yet? That should go some way to alleviate your concerns. All the safety aids mentioned in the earl...

Re: Switch between D and B .. and back

I stick with B, once you learn how to ease on and off the power it's great. I just wish it would have more regen braking and come to a complete stop. Definitely prefer requiring an input to do something rather than a lack of input. Would hate to have a foot slip slightly or want to reposition my fo...

Re: Switch between D and B .. and back

Not sure how much regen B mode actually does It does no more than regen in D mode. The only difference is in how the car's regen is triggered - D mode requires the brake to be pressed or to be driving towards something the car deems you should be slowing for, like a roundabout. In B mode, the momen...

Re: Boat Watching

But seriously, your answer confirmed my thoughts - start local as they don't have far to travel, and can get a lot of cars out to customers that way. They had better get a shift on with them, a ship unloaded yesterday in Grimsby, with other unloading there now and another Grimsby bound ship finishi...

Re: Warmer weather efficiancy

Took for a short drive today I'm sure that 6miles per kilowatt is more than possible when it warms up over the next couple of months. Once you get higher than 12C ambient temp, the efficiency gains are tiny (absolutely no battery warming), assuming you didn't heat the cabin with that drive shown. P...
