Re: Stuck charge flap
Tried banging, tapping, locking/unlocking – the works. And the manual pull cord is to release the charging cable, not the charing port (I think?). Tried that too. Took car to VW Stockport yesterday, they said they could "investigate it in June"! After speaking to VW UK and Road Assist, we ...

Stuck charge flap
My charge flap used to always be open when the car was unlocked. Recently I've had to click the open button on the key to open it (regardless if the rest of the car was open). Today the flap won't open at all, no matter what I do. I have tried tricks listed elsewhere here – pressing on it while lock...

Re: Cannot engage drive or reverse
Happened to me earlier this year. Ended up back with dealer for weeks, they changed the 12V battery, the "gear" selector and I think also the little display. Not sure they actually figured out what caused it all but it has been working fine for three weeks now.

Re: error message, error drive system please visit workshop
After more than two weeks back at the dealership, we could finally pick up our ID.3 again last week. They had changed the 12V battery, the screen behind the steering wheel and the "gear shifter". It is also back in online mode (for the first time ever) and all seems to be working smoothly....

Re: Prospective ID.3 owner Buy now or later?
Have you considered a nearly new (ex-forecourt) 1st Edition? Comes with a lot of bells and whistles, and you should be able to get one for close to £30,000 with around 2000 miles on the clock – considerably cheaper than a new Tech or Max.

Re: error message, error drive system please visit workshop
Update on my adventure: AA arrived (via VW Roadside Assistance) and had no clue what could be wrong (this, I am guessing, is fairly common as EVs are far from mainstream yet in the UK). He disconnected and reconnected the 12V battery, only to set off 7 yellow alerts. Shifter still doing nothing. Whi...

Yup, that’s me right now. Sat waiting for roadside assistance. Car refusing to go forwards or backwards. 2.1 software. Picked up car 8 days ago. Not good.

Re: Stuck in Offline Mode
Aha! I thought the number referred to the actual numbers on the fuses, but that's the amps of course. Right – back to the fuse box!

Re: Stuck in Offline Mode
I picked up my 1st Edition two days ago, updated by dealer to 2.1. The car is stuck in offline mode as described by others in this thread. I have called the dealership and am waiting for them to get back to me, in the meantime I'm trying to figure out what is going on. I have tried a factory reset a...
