Re: How many items and chargers

Okay, I'll think of what I have got from most important to least important

Car
Phone
Laptop
Toothbrush
Watch
Vacuum cleaner
Golf Watch
Son's iPad
Son's story box in his room
Battery Drill
Battery for strimmer/hedge trimmer

I guess that's a reasonable amount

Re: Losing charge whilst parked

So after losing 5% in three days last weekend, and still losing charge a little last week during the day. The car has now not moved for 28 hours. No charge lost. Obviously going to keep an eye on it, but I wonder if thr 12v was virtually flat after the module change as it's taken a little bit of dri...

Re: ID3 battery module error correlation

Are there reports of people getting the 3.2 and then the battery module goes? Interesting as I have 3.2 early August. 3 weeks later I get the warning light and the battery module apparently needed replacing (which it has been) but now also I think the 12v is screwed as I'm losing 1-2% of HV battery ...

Obd is a data reader. Plug in a Bluetooth dongle under the steering wheel abs you can find all sorts of info about the car via an app on your phone. Dongles are £20-30 on Amazon - apps are often free. You can also clear warning lights / fault codes on other cars - which has made me quite popular wi...

Re: Losing charge whilst parked

Yeah - from what I can tell the new battery fitted for the 2.4 update failed (and its not the only one I've heard of doing so..). Strange though that I hadn't noticed any reduction in battery (apart from the one time I lost 2% a few weeks ago). Since losing 5% over the weekend whilst being at the g...

Re: Losing charge whilst parked

I had this issue (see this thread) of course could be something different causing it from my tale… https://www.id3forums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2857 I'll monitor it after I get it back. Since I've had the electric drive error light on its been okay. I did notice once that I lost 2% one day. I'll ask...

There is no scheduled heating, so it's not that.

Losing charge whilst parked

My car had a faulty battery module and has been with VW for the last week having had it replaced. I got a text on Friday saying my car ready for collection. I was checking the VW app and I noticed they had charged the car to 100%, but then someone must have taken it out for a drive as it went down t...

So did mine and then 3 weeks after installing I got the electric drive error light, now it's been identified as having a faulty module and it's being replaced.

Re: Octopus intelligent query

Hi I have used both the Octopus app and Ohme charger to control Octopus Intelligent. Car ID3 on 3.2 software. Both work well. Octopus app seems to charge later in the early morning whereas Ohme seems to charge much earlier. Both will charge the car with 7.5 pence per KWh outside of the 11.30pm to 5...

Re: "Electric Drive not Working properly" fault

Update from mine on this one, I've driven for about a month with the light on. My car wasn't on the recall list for battery modules, however Marshall's in Oxford were able to look at it (usual debacle with VW and miscommunications) this week and they are keeping the car for a week as they have the p...

Re: "Electric Drive not Working properly" fault

I've had this come up too now. Had 3.2 done about 3 weeks ago and never had the error before. Booked in for next week to have a look at it as it's been on for 24 hours now and the car's travelled about 40 miles in that period of time. Amber light still on.

Re: Tyre wear

The bridgestones were shocking. My rears were nearly gone at 10,000 miles and the left rear got a slow puncture so I had to replace them slightly prematurely. I put Michelin E Primacy on, did 13,000 miles on them and barely even noticed any where, still loads left. However I had to change those due ...

Re: Efficiency

My point is this: you've calculated 3.3mi/kWh by assuming a 58kwh battery and multiplying by 0.44 to estimate kWh used (25.5kwh). Or used Tronity, which does the same thing. It's incorrect. Its more likely you've done 85 miles at a consumption of 4.1 mi/kWh so you've used 20.7 kWh. The car indicate...

Thanks for this. Are your Michelins self-sealing? I have neither a spare wheel nor a repair kit (or even a jack). 19" wheels. No, I believe you're referring to run flats? Never had those personally. No. Run flat tyres are different. The ID.3 with 19" wheels is fitted as original equipment...

Re: Wireless Android Auto after 3.2 update

I've never had an issue in two and a half years to be honest with wireless or by cable, both work but prefer cable due to the charging plate being unreliable. Are we on the same page? I'm talking about Android Auto function, displaying phone apps including Google Maps on the infotainment screen. Th...

Re: Efficiency

You can't use SoC to get an accurate estimate over 44% of the battery. If you do it over 90% you'll find it's more accurate. Also remember that after 1-2 years you almost certainly have a true battery capacity somewhere in the range 50-53 kWh than 58 kWh. Not the point. For the car to claim 4.1 ove...

This list has been shared on the UK owner's Facebook group a few times. It is from a couple of years ago and I can say for certain that as of earlier this year Johnsons' only BCC was Solihull, so Warrington was definitely not one. But this gives you something to work with. FB_IMG_1692030378566.jpg ...
