ID.3 Newbie - my home / granny charger buying experience
I bought an iD.3 in a bit of a rush when the UK government pulled the rug on the grant. First priority was charging at home. I found a great variable power granny charger from Third Rock with a 10% discount through the EV Speak forum. Nicely made and plug n play. Definitely worth getting a 10M versi...

Re: Dash Cam
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, however there appears to be an official VVV Id.3 dash cam. I found this on an Irish VW page. It seems to have a custom designed body that presumably integrates with the sensor array in the windscreen and has a purpose made wiring loom https://www.wexfordvo...

Re: Weird episode after first charge
Thank you - that makes sense. Due to Covid, the handover was minimal so I checked the manual which is a bit flakey on this detail. I suspected that it was the disconnection that caused the issue. I’ll follow the suggested process going forward The car ran as expected later last night - first time ou...

Re: Weird episode after first charge
Thank you for the feedback - very interesting.
FYI, I was charging from 51%~ 80% and that took just over 5.5 hours at 13amps - maybe that was long enough to trigger the error?
The rear doors / tailgate refusing to unlock was a bit weird though.

Weird episode after first charge
Hello All, My Performance Pro Family (with 2.1 software at collection) has been faultless over the first 100 miles. Loving the EV life, however this afternoon I used my granny charger for the first time. All seemed fine. The light at the car’s charging socket gave all the right signals as did the th...

Re: Tool kit??
Thanks for that - good to know I’ve not been short changed. Just as an aside - the dealer charged the car to 100% although they recommended an 80% charge for regular usage. Covered 60 motorway miles at 65/70 mph and 20 urban so far and still showing a range of 190 miles. I expect they’ll be a drop o...

Tool kit??
Hello All, Picked up my December registered Family Pro Performance yesterday - just 12 miles on the clock and great value at £30k. My first EV and just loving it so far. The dealer had already carried out the 2.1 update on the car and it’s been fault free on the first 100 miles - CarPlay working wel...
