Re: Lunatic used car valuations

Agree it's a good time to sell a good used car....if you can source something to replace it with, that is. Sadly I've abandoned waiting for the ID.3 I ordered at the start of June as the build date was still not confirmed 10 weeks later, and VW could not give an indication of when I might receive it...

ID.3 Wheel Trims (black & silver) for sale - unused

Hi, Not sure if this is allowed on the forum so apologies in advance if it's not. But sadly I've had to cancel my ID.3 order as the car is basically vapourware and the dealer has no information on when it might be built (ordered at the start of June). Not really VW's fault as they're caught in the s...

Re: Not taking any new orders?

Mine was ordered in the first week of June and the dealer is still unsure of build week more than two months later. Starting to think about forgetting the whole thing unless they can give me some indication of when it might be built. The dealer initially thought it would be with me by September but ...

Re: ROAD TRIP! Taking the ID.3 to central Italy

Have a great trip and really interested too great how it goes…. I’m planning a trip to Sicily when the pandemic is done, via Le Havre, Dijon, Stresa and ferry from Civitavecchia so similar and would be great to hear how your trip works! Have fun

Re: Question for Pod Point home charger owners

I recently had a PodPoint installed. The initial order process was fine although I too was also surprised at the efficiency of their wallet extraction. I was less impressed by their scheduling team, who were impossible to get hold of on the phone and didn’t respond to emails. I ended up posting on t...

Re: How long does Pod Point take to schedule installation

To be fair I should post an update. After a fair number of chasing emails they contacted me today with a suggested possible installation slot later this week…a date I can’t make unfortunately but progress nonetheless!

How long does Pod Point take to schedule installation

Hi - it’s been over a month now since I made full payment and completed all the required documentation for a Pod Point installation. However I seem to be no further forward. The scheduling team do not answer the phone or reply to emails. Nobody else at Pod Point can do anything other than send messa...

What Sherlock said - not moaning but investigating whether it’s possible to use a device that continues to work flawlessly, has 164GB of storage space and is still perfectly serviceable.

Re: Can you use IPOD Classic in ID.3?

Thanks Scott - happy if option 1 works, so would be great if anyone can chip in if they managed to do this. Option 2 isn't really worth the bother but plugging into USB C is not much of an inconvenience.

Can you use IPOD Classic in ID.3?

As per the title, has anybody had success connecting an IPOD Classic to the ID.3? Obviously can't do anything Bluetooth or wireless but is it simply a case of getting a cable to connect it to the USB C and, if so, can you then drive it from the infotainment screen or do you have to choose tracks fro...

Re: Speed limiter

According to the brochure, the Life trim includes the speed limiter - I hope it does as I’ve recently moved to an area with a ridiculous number of speed cameras and use the limiter more than I ever used to... and I’ve a Life on order!

Roll on July

Hello from Hertfordshire - I’ve found this forum really useful and despite the various glitches I’ve read about, the plunge has been taken... my beloved Mini Convertible is going to be replaced by a sensible car in the form of a Stonewashed Blue Life (62KWH). The dealer is going to fit a reversing c...

Re: Question for Life owners re front seats

Well decision made. Drove the eC4 and second drive of ID3 this afternoon. The Citroën was actually quite a surprise and really rather nice; build better than I thought it would be, suspension superb as the road tests say, but interior space and packaging couldn’t rival the VW. If the other half coul...

Re: Question for Life owners re front seats

Planning to head back to the dealer this weekend to check them out again. Interesting that I’ve never seen a Life model in the dealer even though they said they sell more of those than any other now.... Tried Kia Soul which drove well and had comfy seats but the ride was nowhere near as good as the ...

Re: Question for Life owners re front seats

Thanks for the confirmation. My other half gets bad sciatica from some shorter car seats (previous Polo being a case in point) which might sadly rule out the ID3 for us as can’t stretch to the variants that have the better seats. We’ll go back to the dealer again for another sit in the car as this i...

Question for Life owners re front seats

Hi, Recently tested an ID 3 but have never seen one in Life spec. The car we tested had an extendable front seat squab so you could make it a little longer under your thighs. It made quite a difference. Does the Life spec also include this? If not does anyone know which models do? Many thanks, Jon

Re: ID3 test drive

Just back from a test drive and also rather impressed. Easy car to drive, comfortable, bright and airy. Performance is more than adequate and space in the cabin excellent. People complaining about interior trim obviously haven’t sat in a Hyundai Kona.... I didn’t love the touchscreen and interface, ...

Re: Things aren’t going well with the new Max

Good to hear! I have of course already spent a long time on the configurator and decided on that most important issue... colour! Stonewashed Blue is my choice and I’ve seen a couple in that colour over the past week; it works well and I think will hide a bit of dirt at least compared to my second ch...

Re: Things aren’t going well with the new Max

Hmmm I’m test driving one on Friday but seriously wondering whether there are so many glitches that it would be best to wait another year or so to see if they are properly sorted. Frankly in your position given the extended problems you’ve experienced I’d ask for a full refund as the car was not of ...
