Re: Abnormal wear

Thanks, will wait for the warning light, was just suprised, but looks like it happens a lot. Sorry, the anecdote may have been unhelpful.. I suggest you get somone else to look if you can, if they are worn then you need to find out and ask VW why, as it's not a common thing. Dealer might be trying ...

Hi
Yes that’s a good point and I’m not sure
I will call them to see what’s going on with that.
I was also talking to a friend and he asked about the state of battery report and I didn’t get that either .
Thanks for bringing that up

VW service and update

Hi all
I’ve just had my first service and while it was there the 2.3 upgrade all went well I just have to get two front tyres but I knew that anyway they had done 23700 from new.
One thing I was a bit disappointed in was that they didn’t charge it up while they had it

Re: Price Increase - Oct 22

Maybe they want to slow down the sales of the car so they can release an id3 mark 2 in 12-18 months at a more competitive price.?
At the current prices I wouldn’t be able to to afford a replacement id3 after the 4 year period finishes in May 25. So would look at MG or something similar

Re: 2 year service approaching £215 ?

Mine is due in April next year, I had a quick look on line and there’s a company that does servicing for 158 full or 108 interim . I was going to call them closer to the time to check to see what they do. Not sure if vw will recognise the service when I trade in. Oh and as a coincidence my battery u...

Hi
No app, just turn up plug in and tap your contactless card. There will be a pre auth on the account before you get charged for the charge

Re: 1 year and 14,000 miles.Some thoughts.

As someone who had an ID3 on 2.3 and now has a Born on 3.0, let me tell you that the improvements are negligible, and almost every day i'm informed of an update that'll reset the infotainment system and whack your AC up to 22C mid journey, so you have to turn it back down again. Seriously annoying....

Re: A couple of general questions re charging in Scotland

There is a time limit for lidl car park which is 90 minutes it's not for the charger. If you park in a normal bay and go over 90 minutes you will be charged. You don't have to shop there to charge your car how could they police it. It’s camera controlled and you get the fine through the post. There...

Re: A couple of general questions re charging in Scotland

If it’s easier I find a 7kw charger gives about 30 miles per hour.
Check Lidl terms I have heard if you charge there and don’t shop you will get a fine even if paying for the charging.

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement

Doesn't sound good does it? Just as well that we have had no notice at all from our dealer regarding the update. Or from VW direct via email, etc. for that matter. Same here, but my neighbour was contacted a couple of weeks ago he got his car after mine so I guess they don’t contact you by how long...

Piano black trim

Hi all, Hope you’re all enjoying the range in this hot weather. I’ve had my car since May last year and been on this forum the same amount of time, a lot has been said about getting fingerprints on the trim but tbh that doesn’t bother me, what does especially in this weather is that when I’m driving...

A good report, it’s nice to see you are still enjoying the car with the longer journeys, I’ve done several with similar economy and it’s always been a pleasure to drive.
Have fun at silverstone at the weekend
