Re: Infotainment & driver screen issues after 3.2
Thanks to ID3 forum comments, the disconcerting time I had recently with both infotainment and driver’s screens going completely blank was solved with a long press of the power button on L and under the larger screen….so thanks all for that extremely helpful advice.

Re: Battery Competence Centres
I’ve just had my start of 2024 booking (made in Aug) postponed to end April. Glad they phoned in advance but an 8 month wait for battery module sorting out is tough going for owners and VW telephone people alike. Started phoning around again to see if any where can do earlier. Any south east BCC loc...

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled
Just got car back from 3.2 update. Online option works until car turned off again. So in view of your helpful comments am trying various App “buttons” and leaving overnight to settle in. Hoping for the best. Can’t see 12v battery comment but I think you said appeared after Octopus update

Lane assist
With loads of road works and temporary/no lane markings where I live, Lane Assist is a nuisance. I can turn it off, but it re-selects every time I get back in the car. Is there a way of setting lane assist default to off that anyone knows about?

Orange warnings during storm
I got caught driving in a series of storm cells yesterday, deluge of rain, lightening etc. Loads of orange warning dashboard lights lit up, e.g. skid warning, no forward sensing available (not surprising - cars were down to 20-30 mph on motorway). There were more lights than I could take in while dr...

Re: My first long trip
Got my car a few days ago. Did my first long trip Sunday and was not feeling particularly confident about public chargers - finding rapid chargers (CCS) and using them, CCS as I didn’t want to wait for a few hours to charge on fast chargers. Outward journey fine, charged once, having used Zap-Map to...

3 pin cable for holiday charging - what to look for when buying?
I might need to trickle charge via 3 pin domestic supply at a holiday destination as rapid public chargers are quite some distance away/erratic serviceability according to Zap-Map. Any advice on what to look for when buying a cable for example is a safety cut out important, what size cable, what is ...

Re: Where to charge car on long journey
If it’s a farm or business type location, can anyone drive up and use the charging point?
Thanks for the other info.

Where to charge car on long journey
I assume for a long journey using a Rapid charging location is easiest time-wise. Zap-Map lists some charging sites on farms, business premises, caravan parks etc....can you just roll up, plug in and use these in what seem to be non-public locations? Also how best to prepare for paying in these sort...
