Re: Is it me?
I think it's fair to say that the ID.3, being their first ground-up EV design, will have some gremlins and sub-optimal design points. I'm sure the LCI will fix a lot of the issues. But that's probably 3 years away. In the meantime, so long as they fix the bugs then I'll be more than happy with the ...

Re: delayed charging to benefit from cheaper electricity
I didn’t go for the OHME partly as I found it ugly having 2 separate boxes and a loose cable to have to hang off the front of my house, much preferred the look of the Pod Point. This is mine - in a narrow carport so it couldn’t stick out past the electric meter which my father in law mullered 😂 7FA...

Ace Cafe meet
I know this is probably the last thing on peoples agendas in the world of saving energy and the planet. One day when perhaps some of us have been vaccinated and we can once again meet up in groups of more than 6, we should meet up at the Ace Cafe! For me it will give me a chance to drive within 10 m...

Re: Supplied cable
unless the reason is for security or safety I would recommend a tethered point at home. I originally had a non tethered but changed to a 7m tethered. it made it a lot slicker pulling onto the drive and plugging in especially in rank weather. also with early morning Starts you're not packing the cab...

Re: delayed charging to benefit from cheaper electricity
Ohme Smart charger worth a look. Has a 4g card installed and you can program charging schedules etc and also links into the octopus go and the other tariff so only charges when free / green or sub 5ppkwh energy available ✅ Quite a nice looking unit too with an inbuilt cable - will send a pic of mine...

Re: Phone
The other day I tried the “ID TALK” button and it ended the call. Would be nice to have a button the the wheel dedicates rather than reaching for the main screen

Re: What’s Up with the charging speeds ?
I went to a “super charger” (50KW) the other day. It was a pod point and really morbid curiosity of charge speeds and got 30.5KWH in 39 minutes. Was set to charge to 80% so around 10% to 80%. Kind of inline with the 0-80% times VW state in a 100KW charger ✅ 538BB31D-03A0-47D7-867A-79552457191A.png

Re: Is it me?
It is really bad - had my 1st for around three weeks and hadn’t even noticed it... there is even a power button for the infotainment you are right though - should be illuminated. However think of the extra 3 miles per charge

I too have had the airbag warning for a few days however never have I cared so little - love the car and appreciate that the car was rushed - they will make it right

Re: Getting a Car Insurance quote
Aviva didn’t increase our insurance from the Tiguan to the ID however they did make take the excess from £250 to £600 (apparently standard excess with all EV at Aviva)

I too have been a bit concerned regarding range - ultimately need our ID to achieve 160miles from Norwich to Canterbury - it will happen soon!

Re: ID3 Home Charging
I have had the Ohme charger installed - comes with a 4G sim which allows you to communicate with it with no subscription etc. This allows me using their app to set a schedule to only charge between 11pm and 4am using the OctopusEnergy go 5p per KWH - makes for super cheep charging! Have to say the O...

Re: Unintended Acceleration
Does sound like the ACC button accidentally pressed - I have done it already while driving in a 20 after leaving dual carriageway. I do however really like the auto ACC jump from 30 to national back down to 50 etc. Also the lane assist (much better than previous 2018 Tiguan!) makes for a rather effo...

Hi all
Good evening - in the UK (Norwich) and I have an ID3 1st in Moonstone Grey It is my first EV and love it! I have the usual glitches everyone else seems to have however I appreciate that the beta software will soon be updated and hopefully all will be resolved. I traded in a 2018 Tiguan R Line petrol...
