So much better than cold weather 2.5-2.7 m/kWhr!
That’s the sort of performance I’m seeing too. I’m looking forward to the warmer weather for two reasons now :)

Re: Heat and electrical stuff on when engine off

I must admit I assumed the heating and peripherals would all be powered from the main battery and the 12volt did things like hazard lights and locks... Does anyone know for certain what the 12v battery powers? I believe it's everything except the drive motor. It is meant to be topped up when the ca...

Re: Heat and electrical stuff on when engine off

It's wise to keep an eye on your 12v battery as it can become depleted and just driving the car isn't always enough to keep it topped up. I've started putting a 12v charger on it from time to time to make sure. I must admit I assumed the heating and peripherals would all be powered from the main ba...

You can run the heating to your heart’s content... with lights off.

Re: ACC is Deactivated for 25 Minutes Why? Where is the radar sensor?

I think I’ve had this error but only briefly, never in an extended repeated fashion as you describe. Sounds like it could well be in the mix of the software issues, it’s strange how things manifest differently for so many people. The radar sensor is behind the front bumper, however there are a wealt...

Re: Heat Pump and Range

Rather than expecting the heat pump to increase your range is it more useful to view that the heat pump reduces the impact of heating the car and protecting the range. By extension, a non heated, non pump equipped EV will out perform one with a heat pump. In order to achieve 30% improvement I assume...

Yes, just once, and switching off and on cleared it.
The danger is it makes you think EVERY error message is actually not a real real error message :-/

What new SW feature would you like for Christmas?

It’s Christmas so what ID3 present would you like? Not making an existing one work properly (and will hopefully fixed by 2.x) but instead something extra and new... I’d quite like the option to turn off the range guess-o-meter and instead have the number of kWh left in the battery displayed. Then yo...

Re: We Connect ID app and missing wifi

I had this problem when the car was offline. Going into settings (in the car) and flipping to online resolved the display in the app straight away. Try setting the car to offline and see if it recreates the issue.

Re: Regen braking misunderstood by reviewers

I agree.
I started on D (because that’s what comes first when you twist the knob), then moved to B (thinking that would maximise regen), and now use both. I have noticed improved efficiency mixing them.

Re: Keyless car theft

I did a reassuring test today, and yes the keys do appear to go to sleep: I locked the car and put the key on the ground by the drivers door. After 5 minutes I tried keyless entry and the doors would not unlock. A jiggle of the keys to wake them, but still leaving them on the ground, and now the key...

I’ve had random inappropriate error messages before but not that one. My favourite so far was “Battery Fault - do not drive” which disappeared after a restart :)

Re: ID3 Home Charging

I have a Zappi home charger and the app that manages it has “Timed” setting, what I don’t have however is an off peak tariff option from my supplier! :)
I’m planning on phoning Octopus tomorrow to start down that route.

Re: ID3 Home Charging

@miki, the £500/2000kWh credit is a 12 month VW offer for charging at some public chargers (mostly but not entirely Ionity ones). Look on the WeConnectID app at the We Charge section in your profile. You can apply there but I don’t know whether it’s a deal that has ended now. If you can’t get it to ...

Do you drive D or B?

How do you drive your ID.3 and what which mode gives you the best economy? For the first week I drove it in D but for the last three weeks I’ve been driving almost exclusively in B. I love the one pedal driving and I’m getting to the stage that I’m hardly using the brake pedal at all...it makes me w...
