Re: Unable to load connection status
Thanks for your reply, it's not a cellular problem, I was wondering if when finding fuse 19 did you count across the rows or down the columns. Don't suppose you remember the value (amperage) of the fuse?

Re: Unable to load connection status
I too have had this issue for a few days now in my Family Edition running 2.0 and built Week 2 2021. Apart from a few minor issues which resolved themselves fairly quickly I have had good service to date. I read somewhere about pulling fuse 19 to sort this but the fuse box diagram available in the f...

ID.3 Breakdown Cover
I was wondering if the 3 year breakdown cover supplied with the ID.3 covers punctures? I was going to cancel a cover I have for a previous vehicle but I don't want to do this until I know punctures are covered by the VW scheme. I wouldn't want to use the gloop supplied with the car except in dire em...

Re: Totally my fault - but a warning to others - park button
The car certainly allows this to happen. The P button acts as an emergency brake if the main brakes fail. All cars must have a secondary braking system, you activated this and it performed as it should have.

You can fit a witter or a Thule carrier subject to weight and clearance restrictions.

Re: Tyre Inflation kit
I think it's only supplied with vehicles that have the 18" wheels as the tyres on these wheels don't have the self sealing feature found on the 19 and 20 inch wheels.
I have 18" wheels and got the inflation kit.

Re: Under the Bonnet
Well now I am reassured that these are a normal fitment and have a function. I'd never come across them before in spite of my last four cars being VW' s. :) Car is going in next week for ceramic coating - a birthday present apparently. When I had the car assessed the guy said the paint was very good...

Under the Bonnet
Have a look at this photo which shows a plastic bag inserted at the bonnet hinge. Both hinges have this, and I was wondering if anyone knows what they are or if they have a function. So far I've resisted the urge to pull them out in case I disturb something. I'm thinking they are just a transport it...

Re: Address in Nav System Issue
Yes, the shared location appears on the car nav in contacts, but when selected the car nav asks to check the address and then fails to find it.

Unfortunately I am also having the issue of being unable to connect to CarPlay. I'll persevere with the VW system until I get CarPlay sorted.

Address in Nav System Issue
I can't seem to get the Nav to accept an address from the contacts list on my iPhone, or by voice control specifying the contacts name. Anyone any ideas? Software is 2.0.

Re: Is anyone using the bike prep to attach a towball bike carrier?
My interpretation is that it has to be 75Kg including the carrier, but as you say you'd have to be sure. Just how you would confirm this I don't know, perhaps a direct contact with VW? Not sure a Dealer would know.

Re: Is anyone using the bike prep to attach a towball bike carrier?
I have checked the documentation and there is conflicting info. On the car plate it says 55kg. In the supplementary book entitled Technical Modifications ID.3 it says "The maximum load (carrier system including load) of the bicycle carrier fitted on the ball coupling is 75Kg." This supplem...

Re: Is anyone using the bike prep to attach a towball bike carrier?
As far as I know if ordered along with car they are factory fitted and have a max load of 55kg. They can be retrofitted by dealer at significant cost increase over the factory fitted one.

Re: Is anyone using the bike prep to attach a towball bike carrier?
As far as I know mine is the 55kg limit. Factory fitted. I think the data plate in the hitch area says 55kg. I wasn't aware of any 75kg limit - seems a bit high to me.

Re: Is anyone using the bike prep to attach a towball bike carrier?
So I've had a chance to connect my hitch up to the car and and the Thule bike rack to the hitch. Anyone interested it's a Thule 916020 rack specifically for ebikes as it will carry two bikes with a maximum weight of 30kg per bike. The rack itself weighs 19kg. It cost £260 in 2017 when I got it from ...

Spectacular Light Show
This is probably not a fault but unless I keep my key in a tin box old Sparky downstairs in the garage puts on a regular light show. The LED in the key flashes red when I take it out of the box and Sparky lights up. I have a camera in the garage so I can watch the antics. This happens even when the ...
