Re: ID3 Drum Brakes

I had a car pull out across the road from a junction a couple of days ago, I was doing 35 (40 limit) and parallel with the junction. Stopped no problem

Re: Flat tyre

It was the supplied Bridgestone tyres, first one was back right second back left. I just got them to fit a budget this time, I’ve done 13000 miles so in 7-10 k I will replace all four with Avons

Flat tyre

Hi all, Just thought I would report, I’ve had my second puncture in 10 months this week. The first I could pump up and get to a tyre place for a repair no problems since. The second this week is a different story it went down as I got to work so I thought ok I will pump it up and sort it after work ...

Re: My ID.3 Life story...

P.s. almost 6 months in to ownership and still love the car. It might be the base spec, but it has everything that I need, most of the bits I might want, and it's a really nice place to be. Plus, it's the first car that I bought that has appreciated in value, which takes the sting out of such a big...

Re: Ne lincs to Brighton suggestion for charger

Hi
I’ve not done that route but have crossed that way on the way to March.
I found that Baldock services are good with an ionity and gridserve chargers both chargers are over the ID3 max capacity. And the facilities are great.
Hope that helps

Re: Hyundai IONQ5

As I mentioned in my 12000 miles post the ID3 price and size and range and features put it in a league of its own for me.
The ionq5 and ev6 are great cars but for me too big and expensive

Re: Cruise control efficiency

When I’m on a long drive if I have to slow down due to speed limits or slower traffic and then come out of the restrictions I will increase speed gradually to be efficient, I’ve noticed the cruise control wants to get to the limit as quick as possible using more power.

Re: 12000 miles done

Thanks for the review.. I'm in awe of your 4.3 consumption I can't get much beyond 3.1 It was in May to mid September so no need for the climate control also my commute starts early in the morning and I use the shrewton rd not the 303 past Stonehenge so steady driving most of the time. Even today I...

12000 miles done

Hi all, Just thought I would give a review of my first 12000 miles in my ID3 Firstly I had been thinking of buying a Bev for about 6 months and was looking at the e-Niro but then I saw the ID3 and it may not be the best car in most areas it does give you a great overall package for the price. The di...

Re: Sold!

Good luck with the new car, it’s been great reading your posts.
One of the things I like about the ID3 is that it doesn’t look like a normal car like many others

Re: Faulty new car

Is it a perceived view that the software on the ID.3, especially charging is useless or are the reports a distortion? Is the view actually true? Is it a perceived view that the tyres on the ID.3 are poor or are the reports a distortion? Is the view actually true? Hi cherry I’ve had no problems with...

Re: A shortcut for the heated-seats...

Hello Stuart t and welcome. Glad you enjoyed your first drive and I hope like me you have many more enjoyable miles, it’s a great car. I don’t know of a shortcut for heated steering wheel, but if you’re new to the car a couple of other features your dealer may have omitted are , Hold the ‘rear’ butt...

I think the fact that the car is plugged in and charging generates the heat in the battery

Re: Little top ups good ?

I can only use public chargers and usually let the battery go down to between 15-30 depending on my next journey and charge to around 80 As I understand from other posts many other people on the forum seem to plug in every night to top up using cheap electricity. So I’m a bit confused as to best pra...

I can see your points and most posts have replied to your questions.
I was just wondering if you have to declare the capital gain on your tax return? And if you did with the other sales on your imported cars?
