Re: ME2.0 update cancelled
After 16 days with the dealer I have my ID.3 back updated to 2.0, most of the issues have been fixed, aside from mph to kph. Carplay works etc., the manual is now available under the help icon. Rather disappointed that looking in help it says " Sorry, voice control for air conditioning is not s...

Re: ME2.0 update cancelled
If you plan on driving the car in the next 5/7 days leaving it above 80% is fine. What EV (lithium) batteries don't like is being stored at low (under 20%) or high (over 80%) levels for long periods of time (weeks on end) Great thanks, that's good of the dealer then and it saves me have to charge t...

Re: I'm a bit worried about the range
I've also noticed a massive drop in range once cruising at 70 mph. I'd thought driving from Shoreham-by-sea to Norwich would be well in range of ID3; later thought maybe only in summer, now I wonder if its in range at all using M23, M25, M11 for most of trip!? From my limited experience, even in wi...

Re: ME2.0 update cancelled
But it will all be fixed on Wednesday when VW Technical in Milton Keynes return the technician's call. I wish I could share your optimism! In retrospect, the five days they took to install 2.0 on my ID.3 seems pretty reasonable. Ok feeling happier today, car charge on the app started going down for...

Re: ME2.0 update cancelled
My car does not seem to be very lucky, the garage's technicians were still self-isolating yesterday so nobody available to call VW in Milton Keynes and nothing happened to my car on Monday. This morning VW's servers were down so no updates could be downloaded and this afternoon nobody at VW Technica...

..... Car back with dealer at moment and assured all issues will be sorted following a software update today. Wondering how they could let the car leave the showroom knowing it needed a software update - not ethical. Anyway looking forward to having it back soon. ..... Hope your update goes well, m...

Re: Was 0564 the first public software version?

Thanks, reinforces feeling of economy of the truth being the mode employed by dealer and VW In each of my conversations with dealer and VW customer care when I have explained ...

Re: Inclement weather VW ID3 queries prior to purchase, et al
I would say that if you can insist on your car having version 2.0 software installed at point of delivery (which it would be anyway if you're placing a new factory order - in fact you'd likely get 2.1) - then there is no need to wait. The difference in the first version of software vs. 2.0 is night...

Re: ME2.0 update cancelled
If my car (being serviced) charge / range status has not changed since last Monday and is still on 42% charge /56 miles is this likely to mean that no work has been done on the car since last Monday, or does the update only challenge the 12v battery? ..... I would suggest it means your car hasn't m...

Re: Was 0564 the first public software version?
The First Movers were told they were getting sub-standard software, so I assume there was a previous version before 0564 that the First Movers received. No, the cars delivered in September to First Movers and many since have version 0564 installed. Since mid December new cars built should be on ME ...

Re: Alarm goes off at random
Our car is back with the dealership for the fourth time following further alarm functions five in the past week. The software updates have been installed but have not fixed the problem. As no one has a clear idea why this is happening how can a software update fix the problem, Now we are seeing wha...

Re: Snow
Depends on the tyres - in my case standard tyres are Continental Ecocontact 6, which are fairly smooth rubber. What are your tyres? Driving on level roads with snow is no problem, traction control works fairly well, but I did get stuck at a t-junction at the top of a 30% short incline rolling was fi...

Re: Range issues
43% for 98 miles equals 2.28 miles per 1%, meaning 100% would be 228 miles. Or am I missing something? 260 miles is the WLTP figure, have a look at how WLTP is calculated and you’ll see that it isn’t a real-world figure - this isn’t an ID3 thing, it’s a BEV thing. But 45 miles resulted in a 37% dro...

Re: ID.3's Own Voice Control
Interesting, I'd say it's great. After being pointed at it I spent some time playing, "hands cold" "too hot" etc etc. It does indeed identify the passenger side separate from the driver side and copes with my wife's accent reasonably well. Someone suggested to me that talking to...
