Re: 100kw Charging
:D Congratulations on finding an Ecotricity charger that actually worked! None working at Lymm or Knutsford on the M6 Monday pm. ZapMap constantly records “Issues” on the “Electric Highway” Anybody else cheesed off with it? Yes. Ecotricity is the least reliable network. However they've recently tea...

Well I'm just glad something came back. Until it did I couldn't charge the car.

Charging location fault
So yesterday, even though I know the timed charge issue exists, I just wanted over 80% today, so I tried doing it anyway this morning, even if it only have me 85. I checked the car an hour before I had to leave (when it should have been charging) and it wasn't charging. Got in the car to look at 'lo...

Reconnecting sim card
I had to factory reset the car today for various reasons (see other topic). Now car isn't connected to the Internet.
Any ideas on how to get it back on from the onboard sim?

Re: 100kw Charging
Even if you turn up with a warm battery (temperature outside is warm or you've been hammering it on a motorway for 30 minutes) you'll only get 100kw probably for the first 30% or so, it will slow down a bit after that. After 50% it will start slowing down more to the point where you will probably on...

I can confirm that this car definitely could go faster, I have reached the limit and it got there very easily.

Re: Charging Question
Yes if you go to locations, if you have a location saved then great, if not add your home. This is where you can do times charges (if it worked properly). But you'll see in here that there's an option called 'charge immediately' this just means when you do a timed charge if its set to 0% it will wai...

Re: Observations on consumption
If the consumption is less when you give it full throttle, why would it lie? I mean to me it makes no sense, so I'm purely going off the readout from the data screen.

Observations on consumption
Being new to EVs I've made sure to pay attention to how the car consumes (or harnesses) energy during my first 1,000 or so miles. Some of this may be known by some already but some may not have noticed. I had to relearn to drive I remember when I got my previous cars as they had ACT which shuts off ...

Re: 'Reduce charging current' option
On a 7kw charger it reduces it to about 1/3 current, so it's only at around 2.4kw/h. There's no real reason to ever use it. The car pulls 31 amps at 7.4kw roughly, you'd have to have a lot of other stuff on in a house to be even close, and your charger probably even has something to balance the load...

Try simply pressing the open door button on the key. Cable should release. Unplug from car first.

Gaining charge.
Bit of an odd one today. I charged to 80% at home, drove only 1.5 miles to the gym, which is mostly downhill, still had 80% when I parked up. Left the gym with 81%, and even though most of the journey home was uphill I had 82% when I arrived home. Anyone seen that before? Didn't look at the range, b...

I thought I never had to buy petrol again, then my lawnmower ran out, so I had to go with a petrol can to the garage in my electric car. I didn't know whether to fee ashamed or smug.

I'm confused, have you created an individual setting? It should stick whatever you have put in, although mime did default back to comfort across the board once and I'm not sure whym

I've only ever used one tesla destination charger in the UK, worked fine. In theory you shouldn't have an issue, so not sure.

Re: Weird episode after first charge
Not sure if this caused this issue and I haven't seen that particular problem, but if the light next to the charging point is solid green, its charging. If you turned off the power without disconnecting first, may have caused an issue. Next time, just for safety, press stop now on the screen or hit ...

Re: Software 2.2?!?
I spoke with my dealer today as the other day when discussing the timed charger issue he did say it may have to come in for a software update, which I questioned him about the OTA updates. VW confirmed to the service department that some updates will be OTA, some will have to come in to have them do...
