Re: Delivery time
I've seen 45W USB C charging ports fitted in the front as a change, Looking at the change sheet for the other VW models it seemed to be included so I was surprised at the time that it wasn't mentioned as a change in the ID.3. Agreed VW ID.3 seem to abide to the mushroom syndrome, keep them in the da...

Re: Delivery time
If you look on the door pillar sticker, the front tyres are 36 psi regardless of the load in the car but the rear tyres are 36 psi if carrying a light load and 41 PSI for a full load.

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
It wasn't out at the time and as it was a buy back by a VW dealership it wasn't offered. The original build week that I was given was 06/22, it's progressively slipped and last week was informed that it had slipped to week 41 which will be over a year since the OLEV grant was applied for.

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
I like the car and it's the right size for me, but it's become obvious that this particular car hasn't been good and after a year of ownership with it spending half of that year in the dealership getting various modules replaced I had had enough. I did a deal to replace it with a Family Pro Performa...

Re: 2.4 update and battery replacement
I've not received any communication from VW or my dealership about the 2.4 update. I wondered if this is normal, or am I likely to have dropped off a list? My current ID.3 is a 1st edition and is due for replacement. As my car has been in for weeks at a time on each of it's previous updates updates,...

Re: Delivery time
Surprise call from dealer to say car is built. It had gone to status 00 with the MY23 update about 6 weeks ago and this is the first update from the dealer since. Dealer says they should hopefully have it in about 4 weeks. Just as I was starting to wonder at what stage I would start worrying about ...

Zap-map on Android auto.
Has anyone paid the subscription so they can use Zap-map on Android Auto? I've done so but it doesn't seem to work very well for me, I don't seem to be able to zoom the map and it seems to be missing a number of the chargers which normally appear on my phone with the same filter settings.

There's a drop down list of locations that you can select for display on the map, it's pretty comprehensive.

Daytime running lights became compulsory for all new cars in the EU in 2011, although I believe that only applied to new models. They don't have to be retro fitted to older cars.

Re: Delivery time
I spoke to the sales man in my dealership yesterday and got the bad news that the build date on my car has slipped by another week to 41, that's now 35 weeks later than the initial date that I was given. I really don't understand how VW work out which cars to build, when cars ordered after mine with...

Re: Unable to load connection status
I've had this happen a few times but it hasn't happened for a few months now, my car has had several of the control modules in it changed and I wonder if it's one of these units which was causing the problem. It used to be that the units did a reset every 8 days so if your coms stopped for any reaso...

Re: Delivery time
I presume that they only applied for the grant when the car was assigned to me. The grant was only available to individuals, not businesses so I can't see how they could have applied for a grant if it was a car for their own stock.

Re: Delivery time
My order has been on status 10 almost from the day it was asigned to me (was a July pre-order by my dealer). I've had build weeks of 6, 20,19,21,27,33 and am now when I last checked it had been bumped to week 40. Being status 10 doesn't really mean much. Mine's got an order number of 3136.... It see...

When you try to connect it ensure you are in a good 4G signal area. Make sure it's the We Connect ID app, not the We Connect app.

Re: Keyless Entry - Safety Issues
The keys go to sleep after they have been inactive for a few minutes, so that would cover most cases of trying to lock the car after the key has miss-advertently been left in the boot as it would still be active for a few minutes.

Re: Keyless Entry - Safety Issues
I've turned off the proximity un-locking of the car and just use the contact with the inside of the door handles to unlock and outside to lock. My parking space is close to the front of our house and with an armchair near to the front wall, I wasn't confident that the car would remain locked when I ...

MY22.5 rapid charging speed.
Now that the weather has warmed up a bit and there are some lucky bods with MY22.5 cars out there, what are the maximum charging speeds that you are seeing on your 58kWh or 77kWh cars (please state which)?

Re: Delivery time
I've just talked to my dealership and the build week of my replacement car has slipped again and is now week 40. It was originally week 6, then hovered around week 20 or so for a few months, then moved to week 27, so that's now 34 weeks from the first time it was at status 10. It's still status 10. ...

Re: MY22/22.5 Clarification
Are you very fussed about different seats and some extra sensors? Because the battery change and update to the 3.0 software will be available as a dealer update later... Looking at VW's track record, we've had one over the air update, after a dealership update which involved changing the control un...

Re: Delivery time
I guess the government has worked out that £1500 is now the cost of 15 tanks full of petrol and that they no longer need to subsidise EV's in order to sell them.
