ID3 tyres start just below 6mm, so 3mm is not as high a wear % as it would be if they started at 8-10mm like many tyres. I'll be keeping ours until the lowest hits 2mm.
If they are Bridgestones, quite a few people have reported they wear quickly, although not everyone.

Re: Charging stops after 4.2 kWh- how do I fix it?
Hi Viv, that's pretty strange, I have never heard of anyone else experiencing quite the same thing. Also, 4.2kwh over 1.5-2 hours is a very low charge rate, so something is obviously going wrong either immediately or just after you plug in. If you plug in without a schedule enabled, does it charge i...

Re: Charging stops after 4.2 kW- how do I fix it?
Your sentences "charging stopped after 4.2kw" don't make sense. Kw is a rate at which energy is added (power) not a quantity of energy. This needs clarifying before anyone will be able to give you advice. Do you mean it stopped after charging for a period at 4.2kw, or do you mean it stoppe...

Re: Efficiency
Not the point. For the car to claim 4.1 over that distance is crazy. Its incredibly misleading. I've never had it be that far out. If I had used up the whole 80% I probably would have only been able to go 150 miles. But it's a very hilly twisty journey, so I would expect around 3.5 miles per kwh ma...

Re: Tyre recall
Yes.
It's a recall.
If you think you have them, check with your dealer whether your car is affected. You can also check yourself via the VW erWin website for a small fee, or there is an Australian VW website that tells you any recalls on your car for free, but I don't know the link.

The data is definitely massively off now. Normally I've seen somewhere between 2 and 10% difference between VW readings and actuals. However I think the software update has done something very odd. Yesterday I did 85 miles and used 44% battery, which is about 3.3 miles per kwh. The car was claiming...

This list has been shared on the UK owner's Facebook group a few times. It is from a couple of years ago and I can say for certain that as of earlier this year Johnsons' only BCC was Solihull, so Warrington was definitely not one. But this gives you something to work with.

Re: Window winder buttons - Journalists just don't get it
Ok, this thread seems to be leaning too one way so I need to restore some balance  I actually dislike the 2 button approach. In general I actually really dislike the whole touch button (Haptics?) approach everywhere in the car. I do still suffer from bugs or issue (currently on 2.4) where ...

Hi had my Family Pro 58kw since January 23 from new and I can say it’s the worst software car I have ever owned I have screen just constantly spinning to load no audio climate control will randomly come on at full speed I never even turned it on ambient light always goes back to a white setting nev...

Re: Efficiency
Is it possible the higher displayed efficiency is mis-reporting km/kWh as mi/kWh? There are other threads where the system seems to get confused as to which units it should be using. If that's not the case, what is there in 3.2 which could deliver such a significant improvement? We know that cars w...

"Regarding the refinement of the Golf vs. the ID3 - I suppose this is to be expected. VW had 30+ years to perfect the Golf into what it is today. I feel that the second generation of ID cars will be a much better in every way. As you said: better batteries, more efficiency, better charging, et...

Battery Life said recently that since 3.2, to use OBD11 successfully he had to have the bonnet open at the time.
I don't know if this helps.

Re: EU Mandatory Speed Limiters. MY22.5 Tour
Hi, No it’s more the way I understand it cars after 2022 won’t allow you to exceed the speed limit for more than 5 seconds. And after 15 seconds will slow you down. That could get very old very fast on some of the roads I drive on (long 40 or 50 limits ) I think you've misunderstood. Not sure of th...

20230805_092658.jpg Yer...not a real figure. If you will actually try to drive 344 miles in a single journey without charging you will run out. Same thing with ICE cars if you drive without filling it up,it will run out so don't understand what you are trying to say. I'm saying that when your GOM s...
