Re: Launch editions?
Has anyone got a Launch Edition 3 with a 77kWh battery? Or does it not exist? TIA I don't think it exists, the Launch Edition 4 is/was the 77 kwh version. That’s what I thought. But I have been talking with a VW dealer and he reckons he has one. Just shows what they actually know about their own ma...

Re: Charging only @3.6kw
I have emailed Garo to see if the charger can limit the amperage, I do not have solar panels so that cannot interfere with the output, I am not scheduling for overnight as I am still with Shell and have not been swapped to Octopus yet and do not have the reduced rate for the same reason. Thank you ...

Re: Spec Confusion!
Business was a spec, like Max, Family, Life. Yours is not a Business if it is as you describe. I assume it also has HUD, travel assist etc? Max spec does. Pro is the battery size (Pure 45kwh, Pro 58, Pro S 77). In the 58 kWh size, Performance used to signify the higher power option. However since th...

Re: Auf wiedersehen ID.3 friends
I don't suggest the ID.3 is more resistant, but Ioniq 5s are noted as being vulnerable to opening with some sort of key dialogue interceptor and counterfeiter. You might like to make an additional arrangment to stop anyone getting in and driving off. I'm wondering if I ought to for the ID.3 - has a...

Re: Auf wiedersehen ID.3 friends
Thanks and you're welcome. Glad to have helped! Is it a new Ioniq 5 or used? I am tempted by a used one to replace our remaining ICE. Just haven't convinced myself of the finances yet. It's surprising how little extra the AWD costs vs the RWD, when you compare against the extra you have to pay for a...

Re: Battery health check by main dealer
This appears to have not been completed properly. How can they send you a form for a 2020 car suggesting it has never spent any time idle. Makes no sense. If/when you get the car, you can get an impression of battery health yourself if you have a £30 OBD reader and the carscanner app by (1) looking ...

Re: Solar power and battery charging
They used to only do a limited export rate for people on Go etc, but they allowed everyone to get the 15p export rate from a few months back, as I understand it.

Re: Service Interval - now 2yr
Has anyone noticed in the app. Under vehicle health it tells you when the car is due for service. This morning I wrote a email to the dealer. Asking for clarification on service intervals. Answer was 2 years. But the car app indicated service currently due. This evening I had another look, but now ...

Re: OTA updates at 3.2
I got the update available, 52 mins message and clicked to install, then a message saying to leave and lock car, on return a couple of hours later message said update failed please contact your dealer, there should be a way to check for sure if the update has worked but doesn't seem to be :? :( Fir...

Re: OTA updates at 3.2
Hmm, Got the greyed out update button and "windows open" message. Tried the windows down and up trick - still getting the "windows open" message and no option to update. Any more ideas anyone? Just try again. Do the windows while you have that screen up. Hold the buttons for lon...

Re: Incorrect range shown in App
It was never much of a problem and still isn’t. Firstly, if you're aware of the bug then it's fairly obvious when it's happening and you can just mentally multiply by 1.5 (or 1.6 if you wish). Secondly, looking at the range (GOM) in the app is pointless anyway. The GOM is only ever accurate once you...

Re: Electric Drive Not Working Correctly Error
Just as an update to this thread for those whose cars need a replacement battery module or are worried about it. It seems parts became available from early January. I saw several Enyaq and ID owners on speakev and Facebook groups who got their cars back after a module replacement. My own car went in...

Re: Home chargers
Thank you si much for the above response. What is a a 32A charge point? Do I need a specialist to install the charging unit ? I thought a local electrician would work ? And thanks for the above links ? You need an electrician with the right qualifications to install charge points, there are specifi...

Sidehaas thank you that worked - took a few tries - but all done. Thanks for your help. You're welcome! Please share if you see others online with the same problem, it comes up all the time and this is a reliable solution. (Indeed VW have shared it themselves in the past, they know the bug happens ...

Re: Home chargers
There is no service book for any ID car, it's all electronic, hopefully there will be a record on the VW system. The service interval is a fixed 2 years regardless of mileage. You'd better check the battery warranty T&Cs. There are no grants for chargers any more if you have your own house with ...

Re: OTA updates at 3.2
After turning off the lights it would have ungreyed out the install button, did you press that? If not it won't have done it. Others have reported that if they did the update then when they first re-entered the car it gave them a brief message saying it was connecting to the internet to complete th...

Re: ID. Cockpit suddenly "stuck"
Hi, I had very similar experience where all I had was a nice big clock on infotainment screen. I could swipe left and right for different version of a clock but that was it. Strangely enough when someone call me then main screen unlock ( I had an access to map, radio etc ) but as soon as they hung ...

Re: Parking position?
If things are working correctly, it can't have driven anywhere because then it would have been turned on and updated itself? Not driven, yes. Taken? If it was taken on a truck then yes it could have moved. All that screen tells you is that the car was in that location when it last updated the cloud...
