Re: Octopus Go New Tariffs
What are the gas tariffs like with Octopus, competitive? I cannot see them on the website as it tells me it's probably cheaper to stay with my current provider. The gas tariffs will be horrific. The energy cap is the best you can get. Do not switch your gas to anyone else no matter who you are curr...

Re: Service plans
That was for a “full service “ the small one was cheaper. What got me was that the VW service manager still thought that the £338 plan was a good price! So even at £150 I can’t see people using VW to service their cars It’s often said that car dealerships make most of their money from the service d...

Re: Octopus Go + Ohme
I think we can rule out having or not having a CT clamp makes any kind of difference as yesterday we had a second Ohme installed in prep for my my wifes pending order of a Kona EV. I charged my car exactly like I did the night before. The night before using the older charger was a successful charge...

Re: Path out of PCP
Why don’t you just buy your ID3 when the PCP ends? You can always finance the ballon payment if you don’t have it all.

Re: Disable touch screen for cleaning
Well according to the manual ... Cleaning the screen Observe this checklist when cleaning the screen: The Infotainment system is switched off. Use a clean, soft cloth that is moistened with water. Or: use a cleaning cloth available from Volkswagen dealerships. In the case of stubborn dirt: Moisten ...

Disable touch screen for cleaning
Hi all, Does anyone know if there is a cleaning mode or a way to turn off the car to clean the screen? The screen comes on even if I get in the passenger side and I can’t figure out a way to turn the car off so I can clean it would randomly changing settings as wipe it. In previous cars with touch s...

Re: Scheduled charge advice please
I had this problem with my Ohme like @Newfie and after hatching a cunning test to prove it was the charger the problem went away. I’m not so convinced it was the charger after reading this and wouldn’t be surprised it the problem comes back. My original theory was that the car might be restricting c...

Re: Ohme charger problem
A little update for future reference in case someone else gets the problem I was…. My charger seems to be working now. I think it was the reboot that fixed it. My second charge in a row was successful. I’m not using the API, have optimise for battery life, prefer green and save me money all switched...

Re: Do Overnight EV Tariffs Exist Anymore?
I use Bulb's EV tariff, which I started on 2 or 3 weeks ago. About to go up but currently about 25p in the day and 7.4p 2am-6am. Are Bulb taking on new customers at those rates? The tax payer is keeping that company afloat and it’s basically state owned. Switching to Bulb might be a way to give one...

Re: ID.3 1st - voice control
Works fine here but you really need a good mobile signal. "my feet are cold", "my passenger is cold" etc etc. But it is SO slow it's hilarious. It looks like all the voice processing is happening “in the cloud” but VW have a minimal amount of computers in their cloud. Google, Ap...

Re: ID.3 1st - voice control
I asked mine to set the temperature to 20 degrees and after about 5 minutes it told me that can’t be controlled by voice command… which is odd as I’ve seen it done on YouTube. It’s slow bloody slow doing anything it’s rendered pretty useless anyway though.

Re: New ID3 disk brakes after 12k miles!
It actually makes a bit angry reading this. It’s absolutely ridiculous to expect you to pay for a repair that is basically being blamed on a design fault. Brand new discs don’t spontaneously warp when in storage and not in use so neither should they when not being used “enough” on the car. If B mode...

Re: Ohme charger problem
I spent ages testing mine yesterday and after it got to 4 hours plugged in and worked after switching to max charge I decided it was time to test a scheduled charge and the bloody thing worked properly for the first time! The only difference was I’d rebooted it and despite my attempt at scheduling ...

Re: Ohme charger problem
Is everyone having bother with the new Ohme "Home Pro" model rather than the older larger unit? Ohme issues were almost unheard of until very recently. I'm surmised that it might be the newer "Home Pro" model that's iffy. My older model has been pretty much faultless until I add...

Re: Ohme charger problem
Tried @Newfies fix last night and it still failed 🙁 Was set to 80% was at 47% so should easily have done it but only got to 68% and it thought it had been successful (not messages about not charging at the expected rate). I’m convinced the thing is faulty no I need to set about proving it is. I’m go...

Re: Ohme charger problem
I’ve still yet to try your solution as the car hasn’t needed charging but are you using the API so the car knows the SoC? I’ve noticed that the car is reporting the useable battery capacity but the Ohme is using the full battery size so the Ohme thinks it will take longer to achieve the charge than...

Re: Ohme charger problem
Just one thing to add. The Ohme throws up a notification "Your car stopped charging unexpectedly ! Is the battery full? Please check your car" this shows when the car has reached 80%, not sure why that is as its reached what I set it to, the car itself is set not to charge over 80%. Presu...
