Mine still works - usb stick - see post above, from 28th November 2022 - and I had the 3.2 update in May 2023

Re: Charging cars and apps

Hi g320y
Welcome to the forum!
If you ever plan to come to Scotland I suggest you get, in advance, the ChargePlaceScotland RFID card.
Most public chargers here don't take debit/credit cards at all.

Re: ID Light on facelift model.

Unfortunately the red emergency brake light is a pain on single track roads (with passing places). Where I live, most roads are single track; normal practice sees drivers adjusting speed slightly to coincide with an oncoming vehicle at the passing place. This means neither of us has to stop, simply ...

In what way did it tell you? Mine simply stopped working!
Message on the main screen! I was surprised to say the least.

Is not having locking wheel nuts illegal? I cannot find an answer to this - seems it was only to prevent theft - not a safety issue.

Yes indeed - if your id3 has this option, you select from the infotainment screen and for 'mode' you will see the option of 'individual' where you can set a number of items to suit your style of driving Many thanks - does it "stick" between getting in and out of the car? Variable damping ...

Re: OBD11 after the dealership software upgrade from 2.4 to 3.2

As this is supposed to be a safety measure is your insurance still valid if you turn it off using OBD? As it's possible to turn it off manually, then I'd say the insurance is still valid. It's a driver choice for any given situation. When an oncoming large vehicle dominates the road (I'm talking an...

Re: OBD11 after the dealership software upgrade from 2.4 to 3.2

Battery Life said recently that since 3.2, to use OBD11 successfully he had to have the bonnet open at the time. I don't know if this helps. It works! Just tried it and it went through without a hitch. Open the Bonnet and the App stops barfing on “Check Ignition and Try Again” However, I can’t get ...

I'd love to hear an explanation for that!

Splitty - yes, they're waiting to get an ID.3 to check this - it's been weeks already.

Re: Vehicle data - efficiency

There is a screen showing the efficiency which has headings: Since start Long Term Since Charge My question is what does “since start” mean? I have noticed today that having done 5 or 6 short journeys (going from shop to shop to find an item), where the car was switched off and locked on each occas...

Re: Software 3.2 updated and now home charging doesn’t work

It’s probably another example of the unique way in which VW software operates. My Zappi is a V2, not a V2.1. Maybe that is the difference? What version is yours? Not really sure, I've had it just over two years, and it had V3 software at point of sale. What I meant by version numbers was the versio...

Re: Software 3.2 updated and now home charging doesn’t work

Zappi also suffers from this, but as has been said, the car’s on-board scheduler works now. Well it did last night, hopefully it will again. I'm not finding this here. No schedules on the vehicle - delayed charging via my Zappi as usual, before and after the dealership 3.2 update. It’s probably ano...

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled

I got 0561 when I got mine back from the dealership.
Coincidentally I talked to an id.4 driver (brand new) and he had 'software 3.2'
Shortly afterwards there was 'software available' and this then added the button on the home screen and showed 3.2!

Re: OBD11 after the dealership software upgrade from 2.4 to 3.2

I've just tried the same with no luck. Please post if you get this working as lane assist is not fit for purpose. Lane assist has been turned back on after dealer update to V3.1 SW in my case and ODB11 is not able to connect to any modules to let me re-code. I've been happy for the last year after ...

do we also need storage battries to use Zappi?
It's not mandatory; I don't have a battery, but I've had solar long enough to still get a feed in tariff.
Getting a battery is something I'm looking at.
