Re: Ev battery life
And today I caught an article about blocking electric cars going into older multi-storey car parks for weight reasons but no mention of the fact that modern cars in general are much heavier. A LR Disco 3 is 2.7 tones, I don't see them being blocked from multi-storey car parks. I saw that on Fully C...

Re: 3.2 software update cancelled
I took mine to Hawco in Inverness on Monday 22nd May, collected Tuesday evening 23rd May. No problems, and given a loaner. It was booked online during that brief period when that was allowed on the VW website (about 24hrs). No complaints here. I had it serviced (two years old) at the same time. Not ...

Re: OBD11 after the dealership software upgrade from 2.4 to 3.2
In addition to the above, has anyone with an Android based phone had problems with OBD11, since the upgrade to v3.2 software on their ID3 please?

Re: Intelligent Octopus Woes
So, we've just initiated the shift to IO. I can see a problem here. We have solar panels behind our Zappi, so it looks like we might not be able to channel excess solar into the car if Zappi is set to fast!? Anyone else with a similar system? Possibly not as you need eco+ setting to channel excess ...

Re: OBD11 after the dealership software upgrade from 2.4 to 3.2
Don't use OBD myself but have seen someone else say that since 3.2 the app shortcut to remember lane assist being off has now gone, instead they had to "long code" it. Thanks sidehass - if only I could get the app to connect in the first place! Not that I'd know how to long code anyway. S...

OBD11 after the dealership software upgrade from 2.4 to 3.2
Since the dealership software upgrade I've been unable to use my OBD11 dongle to turn off Lane Assist. I managed successfully to update We Connect to my car and establish myself as the main driver and then tried to use the dongle. I've been in touch with OBD but they seem unable to help. I've had su...

Re: 3.5 software, then 4.0 apparently later this year ('23)
I booked my 3.2 update during that brief window on April 26th when it was published as available to book on the VW Website I did the same with Hawco in Inverness. Now all confirmed for Monday 22nd May along with servicing at two years old. Loaner agreed whilst I'm on holiday near there - saves sepe...

Re: Alloy wheels
They do, did you get them in it or order after getting the car? I know this sounds stupid but do they need to be a specific part number as when I was looking at eBay I was advised to check part number. Did you put 18” or 19” on? I got them at the VW dealership when I bought the car. Last time I was...

Re: New Tyres for an ID3 - A Cautionary Tail
Hello 'Up the jumper' - there have been several comments like this over the last year or two. I can't really comment (and perhaps brittle, in context with an item made of rubber, is not the correct word, but I understand what you mean) but I wouldn't have thought so. What I can comment on is the sup...

Re: We Charge Card (Free Version)
just orders a free wecharge card free plan seems its prices are cheaper than rapid chargers full prices will see Has anyone got a comparison? I'd be interested to see the difference for say Fastned. Wecharge price is fixed for all compatible chargers except Ionity. I think it's 63p/kwh if you sign ...

Re: We Charge Card (Free Version)
Thanks everyone! I'd asked Volkwagen at Elli (no, please don't laugh!) but got a load of nonsense about how to use the app. They apparently don't have a list - or don't want to tell me? Good to know about Osprey and Fastned, I've used some of their chargers before. This is only for long journeys, of...

We Charge Card (Free Version)
Can some kind person give me a list of the charge networks available using the We Charge card please?
I'm aware of Ionity of course, but I think there are others.
I realise that using a credit/debit card gets me access to most, but when I last tried Ionity it was through the We Charge card only.

Re: Car shooting forward
I always have "AutoHold" engaged, might that be the difference? Sorry to disagree but I think that AutoHold may have been the major contributor to Sankman's wife's accident. I park my car facing downhill on a steep narrow driveway and always disengage AutoHold before reversing up the driv...
